[Suggestion] New Clan board?

Should a new board for the clans be created where all the clans can have a peaceful deiscussion? Like a big clan community topic? Maybe the clan doesn't need it's very own board, but can't there be somewhere where all the clans could meet in peace? The Temple Of Light And Dark is just for Clan Questions. The clan arena people are either comepting against something, or blowing eac others heads off.

The Arena can also be a place for simple discussion. It doesn't matter if the thread was intended to be peacefull, there are gonna be people who are gonna ruin it.

Make a thread in the Arena, make it very clear what it's for, and any Clan mod that happens to wander by will happily annihilate those people who ignore you.

At least, I will.

Hey buddy, I just so happened to read the first post. It doesn't make sense. Why the hell would you make a board like that when you can go to General Chit-Chat and have peaceful conversation there?

Because the clan community threads are very different to the GCC community thread. There's more conversation, instead of just announcing events.

I really like the threads that are sort of CT-ish in the Clan Arena (the Christmas parties! ). A combined clan CT would be pretty cool, since posts no longer count in the Arena.

I kinda agree with that statement.

That thread was fun when it started, but now it's flooded with the worst trolls of ZU.

Yes, I did read the first post. Of course, why on earth would we need ANOTHER CT? Each clan already has one. The mod boards have one. There's a forum-wide one. There's a BA one (I think). There's a Graphics Teacher one. There are simply too many already.

Now, most of these have a good purpose. The GCC CT is there for everyone to see and use. The individual clan ones are there because they are closely knit little communities. The Graphics one is generally teachers yelling at each other to wake up and help plot big things. The mod one is obviously for the mods alone and probably filled with important modding issues. The BA (if they have one) makes sense because they are all there to talk about battles and such.

Anyways, each CT so far has had a real reason and need, something to make it special. I can't see much logic to one for the Clan Arena. There's already a "spam and post what you want" thread. Why do we need another one? All the people in the Arena can see the main thread. I don't see the discussion there being any different from the main CT.

And Pani, the Din CT at least wasn't always full of spam and hyper chit chat. When I joined Din, the CT had been there for two years. I believe it had under 1000 posts. No one cared much about it, and it still was a place for announcements. Like, actual announcements. Not "Good night everyone, I'm going to bed!" or other such spam. And yes, I do plan to complain about what the CT looks like now. It used to actually contain important notes and ideas and such.

Anyways, I vote no. There are enough CTs. We don't need another one, especially one that won't be any different from the GCC one.


(But of course, I just signed on, so chances are that it already exists...)

What would be the point of that?

It would be exactly like GCC, except less traffic and more annoying Zien and Lady Fay crap.

You know, now that I've been thinking about it, I think that the count to 1 million thread was a genius idea. It filters out all the spammers from the other threads. I'm so glad Zien doesn't post anywhere else.

I repeat: If you want an area like this just for the Clans, go make a thread in the Arena and ask one of the Clan mods to keep an eye on it.

And with that, this thread no longer has a purpose beyond getting on people's nerves.
