What happnened to the mod colors?

All the mods had awesome colors, They seem to have dissappeared with the layout. I want 'em back.

Are you talking about Mod banners, or thier color CRs?

-The banners are still here, and here they will stay.

-Lioness/Superdecimal are the only mods I know of that still have colored CRs. (I think SD has a normal white CR text color.)

I think that the staff voted to get rid of "the monsters of color", so Jason turned the HTML codes off for them....or they turned thier own CR white again.

I think he means the coloured usernames for different types of moderator. I, for one, am very glad that they're gone. The colours were an eyesore, and you couldn't even read some of them on some skins.

Colors were cool.

I agree with Tiroth. The underlines and Bolds are fine. If the skin colors weren't so diverse, I would think otherwise.

The reason they are gone is almost definately because there aren't enough colors. Seriously, there are only so many colors that can be read on the 5 different skins we now have. A while back when they were first color coded it was taken away because of that reason, not because they decided they didn't like them. Anyways, whichever color they pick it won't show well on one of the skins.

Right. Underlines and bolds and italics get confusing, Anothe forum had that method and forum mods werre constantly being mistaken for Globals, They switched to colors, and it made it easier.

I don't see how they can be mistaken here, when they have mod banners. The banners can tell you what type of moderator they are.

(And for the record, bold/underline/italic > colours )

If you could memorise the colours, why can't you remember what the bold/italic/underline system is? I could never remember the colours, but since the switch back to this system I've had no problems.

Colors are easier to remember for a kid with an IQ of 0.07

The real reason we have underline/bold/italics is because the colour versions didn't blend well with the skins so we got the underline/bold/italic ones which work better.

Nothing more then that. And I doubt there'll be a change.

They're actually still there, just not working for some reason. Scott was supposed to fix it up before his vacation, but it didn't happen.

You see, he figured out how to give each skin its own mod color set. And while it should be working right now if I know ANYTHING about basic CSS and HTML, it's not for some reason.
