[Feedback] Temple Layout Bugs - List here.

There are numerous issues with the current forum layout, which is one reason why the other ones should be enabled right now, instead of tommorow. Either way, it is a good chance to get all the bugs listed so they know what needs fixing. I will list my findings, all of them tested and found using FF 2 and FF 3 Beta:

Word Wrapping the links at the top, the "Zelda Universe Forums > Community > Feedback..." does not wrap properly, and will extend past the aloted viewing area across the rest of the header.

Fast reply does not work. I click submit and it gives me an error... that I can't read.

When I make a new post, it does not show it as a new post when I revisit that forum. In fact, it doesn't register the post ever happened, yet when clicking on the topic it is there.

Thats it for now, I am sure many other bugs are to be revealed.

When I click on someone's username, the menu that drops down with options like "View Public Profile", "Send PM", etc, appears down near the next post instead of right under the username.

Then, why post in a thread about bugs?

*note* fast reply worked for me once, but it's still spitting out that mystery error most of the time. So, that could possibly be related to the high traffic.

I've noticed the same thing with fast reply, but I assumed that was because of the traffic as well.

This may be a new feature or a bug, I'm not sure. But I had a PM before and when I checked it, I had my regular profile options all down the left, and I had to scroll over to the right to find my PM box, which confused me for a minute.

If by scrolling over you mean the user CP is insanely wide, I have that problem. Also when you go to look at profiles the dropdown menu bars are very long and overlapping different areas of the page. But this isn't happening to everyone; when I mentioned it to my friends (who aren't members) and members such as MA and Tiroth, they had no such problem.

I've also noticed in the profiles, where the links used to be to access statistics and stuff, the little arrow box puts a menu down the side and it looks sort of oddly placed.

Also, when I click usernames on the forums, the drop-down menu appears at the bottom of the post instead of next to the username where it used to.

I have been experiencing slow loading times between ZU pages. Sometimes the page wont even load, then it says something like "server timed out" or something along those lines.

Anyone else experiencing this?

A faceless nameless error I cannot fix. I need specific examples of what it does. Copy/paste, screenshot, view source, whatever. If there's something wrong with quick reply, I haven't seen it.


There are various issues with placement of specialty things on the skin, yes, I'm fully aware. I have my own list of things that I know of, but by all means continue.

I'm at school, so I can't host images.

But when I get home, I'll try to get pictures of some of the ones I listed.

Whew, took alot of refreshing, but I think I finally got all the images loaded. Bugs that I've noticed. Clicking someones username makes the popup box appear in the post underneath that persons post. A few placement bugs, such as the linkback, threadtools, text placement on the post date/time above the username and the post number are weird. My username is kinda long, so it makes the text go below the brown area. I'll post more when I find them. Since I don't think i'm the best at explaining things, here an image of the problems I mentioned. Click for image. Also, the Clan HQ last post things on the main forum aren't the same width as the ones above and below it. They are a few pixels skinnier.

Sometimes I get a white screen that says done when I'm trying to load a page. But that's better than what I was getting before. A few hours ago, I was getting nothing but error messages.

Yeah, the blank page thing happens every-now-and-then. Just hit refresh to fix it.

Everything I've noticed has been posted already.

Whole messaging deal not working. Inbox, Send New Message, etc. presents a standard view of my control panel when I view them while maintaining their respective URLs and their correct name on the header-navigation thing.

Edit: ALL my user CP links do this.

Also, as previously mentioned, the drop down menus on peoples profiles sometimes fail to show up or just show up in what appears to be completely silly and random places.

When I go to look at Shmehzzie's profile, I just get a giant picture of a man squatting over a bucket full of shrimp. I believe it's an error of some sort.

All three of the bugs I listed are now fixed. I will see if I can screenshot some of the issues with the profiles.
