I'm certainly not trying to look cool, although my Jim Jones reference up there was pretty great.

I, along with several other people, am just very interested in our his unbanning came to be. His sudden return seems a bit unfair when viewed from afar, without any details or explanation, as it's being viewed now.

No one is ganging up on him. It's not as if we're all huddled around the same computer planning a personal attack. It's just a handful of people who happen to share the same opinion, or at least who are having the same reaction to the situation.

He evaded a temporary ban. Twice. That has always been followed up by a permanent ban. This is not a special case, so why should he be an exception? We're not 'ganging up on him', we just want an answer.

I have nothing against GoT, but he did break the rules and I think it is unfair, illogical, and demeaning to us that follow the rules, that he get's special treatment.

On the topic of banning/unbanning, - on the one hand, I can see why people get annoyed that someone appears to have received special treatment and being allowed back before they've done their time.

However, I do also believe that something such as "PERMANENT BANNAGE" is an absolutely ludicrous idea on a forum :p
Also, yes, all of you have the right to your opinions and expressing them (so long as you don;t flame, which they HADn't done, Tott), however, I can't help feeling that there's more than just a hint of hypocricy tainting the whole deal. Almost all of you like and are grateful that an icon such as Capn is still here - even though he's done the whole ban evasion shebang too many countless times.
Sure, an extended sentence from one month bannage to 3, perhaps, then another chance. People change, esPECially teenagers :p
