[Feedback] The new profile pages.

I love them. I just thought I'd say so. There's a lot of new relevant information available, and a lot of fun additions.

It expands the community even more, which I think is what the upcoming re-launch of ZU is striving for.

When I go to someone's profile, it's generally for a reason. I might want to see how old they are because they type like a two year old. Or I might be wondering if I can IM them. Or they might have a thousand something posts and I want to know why I haven't seen them. And with the old page, I could see all that stuff easily. There was no hunting or tabs and junk to flip through. That made it easier. MUCH easier. And the new one annoys me. What is this "Wall" thing that was stuck in the middle of the place where information used to me? It looks like facebook now, which I also hate the layout of. And I want the old profile page view back.

So, can it be an option? Please?

Wow Kim.. Your memory still astounds me. You typed that up exactly as we said it on Monday; only not in conversation form.. Anyways, I bolded the parts in her little speach that were my input in saying I don't like the new profile layout. Though, anyone who hasn't figured that out from me yet is really not that observant.

Excuse me? This is not for bashing the new layout. Please post in a thread that disapproves of it. I don't want to get this locked straight off, I want the jason and scott types to know that there is support for this.

I was not bashing I was just stating my opinion. What I bolded I would never have said straight out here, I'm too polite to do that. But, that was just how I found the old layout easier to read, and easier on my computer to load.

I like the new additions. It's perfect for small and quick chats with friends.
And the picture thing is awesome too.

But actually what I like most is being able to see my last 10 "visiters." I like PMing them, saying I know they were watching me

i like the new format way more!
it has all the old stuff and more, i don't see a reason to complain!

the pros are: more organized, wall posts, being able to add pictures to your album, seeing who has visited that profile, seeing how many people have visited that profile, being able to open your friends profile from your friendlist and all the groups people make so people can join! XD

It's funnnnn. :D I don't see what there is to complain about. All the information is still there, just under tabs. If people don't want to use the profile pages and stuff, they don't have to. The forums still operate the same. :3

Nevertheless, I do think Saber brings up a good point--namely that there should be an option to make the "About Me" tab the default tab (or whatever tab someone wants to make default when they view other people's profiles). That wouldn't be difficult to do, I don't think?

Agreed, I think a little more customization should be allowed.

But, I love the new profile changes. Completely approved and supported by me. :D

Yeah, I also liked the new look of the profile pages.
But, there are one thing that I am dissapointed at: If I upload a picture that is to big to fit on the screen, that picture is shown, but very much smaller. In the previous gallery it was the same thing, but there you could click on the picture to show it in the original size.
This problem is a little annoying when you upload for example wallpapers.
Please, "fix" it?

Not difficult. Impossible, yes. Difficult, no.

This is for everbody: Do not make suggestions or comments about the functionality of the forums, including the image galleries. We cannot change it. That's Jelsoft's job. They made the forum software. I can't just magically extend the functionality of the forums - even with plugins, some of the changes you're requesting aren't going to happen unless Jelsoft updates the forum software to include such functionality.

ZU has turned into a social network, and I actually think thats better than just a regular forum. More friendships can start, better communication, this was an awesome idea. ^_^

Yeah, let me just reiterate, for the record, that I really do like the forum changes, and it's going to improve the place a lot. I hope no one got the idea that I was opposed--only offering tiny suggestions for tweaking it which I now see isn't doable, and that's fine.
