Public Groups

No member in ZU as far as I know has anything in the "Public Group" box. Im pretty sure all members have the statement "{User-name}is not a member of any public group." Why even have the that part of the profile if no one uses it? Did it come with the fourm? Was there anyone with something different thats not "{User-name}is not a member of any public group."?

I noticed that it also saids something about membership. Im not sure if it is talking about membership in ZU (for excample Mods) or membership for excample "Is a member of Nintendo Power Staff". If it is talking about membership in ZU, Im gussing that it was going to be used to show who is a staff member but instead, members got staff banners.

I never really knew what public groups were there for myself. I've looked at a lot of profiles, and not a single one of them was in a public group. I don't see anything about it in the User CP, either. There's stuff about personal info, friend codes, contact info, but nothing for public groups. What's the point of them?

Basically, vBulletin has the option for user-created clubs, kinda like clans. ZU does not use these, for they are pointless and would just cause even more conflict and drama.

As for why they haven't bothered removing that field in the profile, I have no idea. Probably laziness.

Under "Group Membership" it would say 'U.S.A. Forum" "Sweden Forum" "Australia Forum" Or however they were named. Something like that in theory people would only join 1 and it would be by thier discretion.

Horrible example- or you could have "Skaters" "Preps" "Goths" "Nerds" And choose to be in one.

Edit: We don't have any public groups, hence you seeing no one with any memberships listed.
