Locked quoting

I think we should be able to use the multi-quote function in a thread that has been locked.

I don't know how many times I've had to copy-paste posts, and it gets really annoying when the post you're trying to quote already has quotes in it.

Thoughts?

I wasn't aware that you couldn't multiquote locked threads, actually. I suppose that's because I was an admin before the ability was there...

It doesn't kill you to copy/paste, and...I don't see why this ability would be needed much.

Multi-quoting is posting, and posting is restricted from locked threads. That is, after all, the point of locking the thread.

Next you'll be asking them to implement quick replying to locked threads.

If you were wishing to multi-quote posts from a locked thread, you'd have to copy, then paste, then copy, then paste... etc. it would be much more convenient to simply multi-quote from said thread then hit that last quote button.

I wouldn't mind it, if--that it, it could be done.

Well a lot of stuff would be more convenient but it's quite hard doing all the code work and making sure it works without a hitch.

Yeah, there's really not enough possible uses of this to justify me mucking about in the coding of vB.

See those little marks like this (+)? Hit that on the posts you want to quote and hit the quote button on the last one you want to quote. You should have quoted all of the posts you checked off.

No, he's saying that in locked threads that there is no multiquote button. (nor is there a quote button, but that's not exactly what was being asked >_>)

What you said only works in threads which have not been locked.
