Combine all the child boards. Not enough threads are generate in there anyways - heck, General Chit-Chat and Gaming probably get more threads in a day than all of Entertainment's child boards combined - and as it is, it's too much of a hassle to go through all the child boards to find a good entertainment thread if you're not looking for one in particular.

This has been brought up several times, and every time in the past we have concluded that the sub-forms make things easier to browse. We have got rid of some of the smaller child forums in the past (for example, sports), but for the most part things are too active to leave. Before we split them up, discussions would get shunted off the front page within a day at times, leading to tons of repeat threads and whatnot.

And when they're all together, it's all jumbled up and confusing.

I know this, because that's the way it was.

There are good and bad sides to both ways, but at present, I see no reason to recombine them all.

Alright, fair enough.

Alternately, couldn't we take the Entertainment boards and General Gaming out of the community section, and give each board its own section? I'm just suggesting what I've seen work on other forums, because as of right now, the Entertainment board is enough of a complex to keep myself, and probably others, out.

The main index would be too big if we did that.

I remember when it used to be like that. It sucked, trust me.

I'd be happy if there were a few less forums myself, maybe even if it were condensed into just three subforums. If only because it's even more of a pain when you're the one moderating the forum.

Personally, I think Television, Movies and Anime should all be part of a greater section, perhaps named "Visual Media" or something. I mean, television and movies are really closely linked, as in the same stuff you're talking about from the movie theater appears four months later on your television. And Anime is the same cartoons shown on television, only they're from Japan.

Yeah, I wish there was more activity there. There could be some great discussions there...

What if you guys tried moving it up in the list.. I mean it's near the bottom.

How about :

General Chit Chat
General Gaming
Entertainment
Serious Buisiness

and the rest...
