ZU blatantly ignores my wishes

After a year or two of being plagued by daily emails reaching the hundreds I finally decided to cancel email notification of subscribed thread replies, yet the emails keep coming. Would somebody care to tell me why ZU is being so annoying?

Have you tried unsubscribing from the thread altogether (taking it out of your USER CP in the process), then resubscribing?

Or you could just add a new email addy to your account. Then zu can email you as much as they like and it will never bother you again. xP

Be sure to check in your User CP that all subscriptions have been switched to 'None'. If this is the case than I would suggest that the easiest solution would be to delete all your subscriptions.

I like that idea, but the fact of the matter is I use subscriptions too much to keep track everything without it. I prefer the plan involving the bogus e-mail. I think I'll go do that now.

I see that you should be set up correctly. Are you still having the same problems?

The e-mails are no longer anywhere I'll be able to find them if that's what you mean. I used an age-old address that I don't know the password to. Yay for database clogging!

Now how are you going to get your password, should you ever forget it?

I've tired that as well, but the threads are still there, telling me that my subscribition to them is written in stone. No. Diamond.

At the bottom of the emails should be a link that unsubscribes you form all threads.

Use it, then clear your cache/cookies.

That should do it ^__^;.

Put it in a word document labeled "ZUpwrd".

I've had that problem.
I have to empty my inbox of +200 emails from ZU daily.
I'll use some of the tips above.

I wish there was a setting where you could just get 1 email per thread, or an email only when someone quotes you or something...

Click the "do not subscribe" button.

Or, you could make a junk mail address and tell ZU it's your real eMail. That's what I do with ZU, myspace, facebook, etc.
