With each day, another one of these threads are made. It's annoying. It's spam. It shows that n00bs don't understand the concept of searching. Please, for the love of all that is holy, punish anyone who makes another one of these threads from this day forward! I think a perminate ban is in order.

O rly? I thought it was for discussing new Zelda news, but since there's none of that, I guess that makes sense. My bad.

Well when a Zelda game is officially announced, wouldn't discussion instantly begin taking place in the appropriate console forum?

Sometimes I wished we had autoguns installed that would shoot threads like these. But instead I almost never enter Zelda when there's no new game coming. There's no reason except to discuss threads like these.

I agree, this is getting very annoying. Mods should watch over the Future Zelda forum more closely so we don't get so many of these noobish and spammy threads. I've also seen many spammy threads in other sections and they've stayed there for who knows how long. I know if I were a mod, I'd be locking them up in record time, but seeing as I'm not, I simply have no choice but to ignore the threads.

I'm not saying the mod team is simply irresponsible, I'm saying they need to watch over these sections more closely. We have a great mod team with mods who do their jobs effectively and maturely, but the amount of spammy and noobish threads that go unnoticed by them seems to be increasing at an unusual rate.

There are a number of simple solutions to this problem. One, like I said, is to inspect the forums that get the most threads more closely. Two, recruit more mods if it becomes necessary. Janus is leaving, now's the time to find a replacement for his two year absence. You could also assign more mods to the sections that get the most threads. That would be a very effective solution as long as the assigned mods did their jobs in a mature and acceptable manner.

And, of course, you all know what it takes to be a mod, so I won't discuss that.

You don't have to just 'ignore' them, you can report them so the mods are aware of them, and they get locked.

True, I could do that, but seeing as certain individuals around here tend to accuse me of getting "innocent" people in trouble because I report things, I don't want to start even more trouble. People even accuse me of being a troll trapper or something for the mods and act like it's a bad thing. I'm sick of it. I'm letting someone else do the reporting from now on so I don't wind up getting in trouble for something I didn't intend to do.

In short, I'm leaving it be and minding my own business to avoid trouble.

Yamari, if you're not going to bother telling the appropriate mods that you think something is wrong with the threads, then why exactly are you complaining about it?
