Mock Presidential Elections

What if we held mock Presidential elections here on ZU?

It would have people from all over the WORLD voting, and would be fun, I think. We could see how well the TRULY elected U.S. President matches up to ZUer's thoughts.

Though, how do you propose it happen>? vote at the same time that voting begins in the US? follow the steps there and mirror them here>?

Actually, I would suggest not at the same time as the US, but instead about one month earlier. We shouldn't have the politicians' last-minute speeches and such influencing the ZU votes.

Maybe you can devise a way to show which votes come from which region of the world. That would make it more interesting for me, anyway.

Do you propose people "register to vote" in their "precincts" (The main forum the user visits, perhaps?), vote in the primaries, then the general election?

Or simply just between all the candidates?

And how would we divide up the delegates, hmm?

Well, I do think it would be more fun say, the week and a half before elections (following all the way through til election day!). And yeah, just for the candidates. I don't think that it should be based on what people POST, necessarily (I certainly won't be saying whom I'm voting for, haha... this is a hard election year to decide, and I'm not sure even yet). But yeah, we should figure out a way to show where people are from for how they voted. :0)
