Grammar Errors on Forum Descriptions

This has been nagging at me a little. I know it's a small thing, but it's quick to fix, I believe.

There are some minor grammar and spelling problems on the descriptions of the sections of the ZU Boards. For instance:
Quote:
Discuss and Chat about everything in here. Please No Spamming, and no active URL's in here!
...Which should be, "Discuss anything and everything in here, so long as it doesn't belong anywhere else. Please, no spamming is allowed." or something along those lines. The "No active URL's" thing is also somewhat confusing as well.

Re: Grammar Errors on Forum Descriptions

"Discuss and chat about..." is proper grammar, Sear.

Although, I agree with your thoughts on "No active URLs"

Re: Grammar Errors on Forum Descriptions

That was just an example. There are more problems on the other ones as well. "Chat" should not be capitalized on the CT example, as well. And, "Discuss and Chat" is redundant. Only "Discuss" or "Chat" would suffice. The two "here"s are somewhat improper as well.

EDIT: So nobody seems to care? Bleh...

Re: Grammar Errors on Forum Descriptions

apparently, sear.

Generally, that's the sort of thing I notice and point out...but for some reason I never thought about it much here...

Redundancy isn't always bad, and a single mis-capitalized word makes 0 difference, really...

Re: Grammar Errors on Forum Descriptions

I see what you mean sear, the "here" thing gets to me on that one. The "discuss and chat" seems like the same thing to me...

But the thing that really drives me crazy is the lack of another comma in Feedback, Suggestions and Questions.

It needs one right after Suggestions. That drives me absolutly nuts, to me its the thing I remember most of the grammer errors.

But, I guess it doesn't really matter...

Re: Grammar Errors on Forum Descriptions

If I had Admin powers, these descriptions would have been fixed up a long time ago

However, I don't, and I am too lazy to make a thread about it in the mod section... and for some reason none of our admins read this seciton of the forums often, so that's the only way it would be brought to their attention.

Re: Grammar Errors on Forum Descriptions

Actually, I saw this a few days ago, but I forgot under the onslaught of remodeling the house.

I stopped paying heed to the descriptions many ages ago, before I was an admin. So I never really thought about it. o.O

Well.. I guess I'll start fixing them up. If I can trust my own grammar, that is.

Ahh, good to see some support, Rummy.

And yes, your grammar is fine...some of the best on here, in fact.

Re: Grammar Errors on Forum Descriptions

Seems that Remus has changed them...much better. I guess that this can be locked, then.
