Unvalid Image File and Remote Picture is to large...please help.

I can't seem to put up any of my signatures. The one I am trying to put in is 319x100 and if i save it in paint and try to upload it it says "invalid image file" and if i put it on photobucket it says "remote file is too large" I've tried making it smaller...everything I just don't know why it won't let me put it up. Please help. Thanks.

Save it as a .jpeg instead of .bmp. Bitmap files take up way too much space.

When you go to save the file go to "Save as", at the bottom of that window it should let you choose the file type. I, personally, would recommend .png, which gives you no loss in quality at a smaller file size.
