Clan Arena General Chit Chat

I think this is my first post in this section. Anyway... this is what you'd call a "suggestion" so that's why it goes in this forum I guess.

I know what you're thinking, there has to be at least 100.5 general chat threads in ZU. But I think it would be cool to have a General Chat thread for just clan members to talk to each other. I've noticed how much there's a lot of selfishness and "my clan's better than yours" sort of thing, and a few people take it seriously. If there was a General Chat thread in the Clan Arena we would be able to interact with the other clans more. Sure there's the big Community Thread everyone can get to, but there's a good deal of people who never even leave their clans so are automatically biased towards their own clan.

So to put it simply, could you staff people just consider it at least? Maybe bring it up with the head honcho? Or if you're reading this right now, consider it yourself?

I wholeheartedly agree. Kudos go to SD for his inter-clan christmas party idea, it was quite fun, so why not have something like it all the time?

It may just start a whole new form of flamming and would probably be locked with a bunch of Clan members getting a warning or worse.

Somehow, I doubt people are that stupid and hating of the other clans, Sadow.

As to the thread, we'll see...

I just think more interacting between the clans is needed. Sure there are the games, but there's barely any other sort of interaction between the other clans. And about the flaming, there could be a rule to help keep the flaming down.

I think that a thread to chat is a good idea to create more interaction between the clans. Perhaps something like the party but with rules that a a tad bit more strict would serve nicely.

And, I seriously don't think that people will reduce themselves to flamming because of being in different clans. For the most part, and despite the animosity between clans, people get along quite well. I mean, a lot of my friends are in other clans. I wouldn't stop being friends with them over a CLAN... >>

The whole mask of hating each other is just a joke, unless somebody is really that crazy. We take pleasure in slaughtering each others.

Hmm... I think that the clans are a little biased so more interaction would be good. But we should have strickter rules against spamming. I see a lot of it in Din.

I too think it would be a good idea. I would love to see what the other clans think. Even I will admit that I do not truly hate the other clans, everything I say about Dinnies are for jokes only.

Also can someone point me to the closest river.

Oh, I'm absolutely fine with another Inter-Clan CT.
I thnik the last one went absolutely swimmingly, and it was nice to see the clanners meet up with their rival clans.

On the other hand, it may detract from the exclusive nature of the clans, and why they exist, so perhaps it [the CT] should only be opened for special occasions, etc...

Aren't there already enough GCC threads already? There's one in each clan, one for the entire forum, and I'd guess the mod board has one too. Why would we really need another thread for random junk? Most clannies already talk in the CT anyways.

Just wanted to point out that those people who "never leave their clan" probably go to all sorts of places on the forums. Also, if they never leave their clan, why would they be visiting the Arena anyways?

I remember that way back whenever the clans did almost nothing together in the Arena. Now there's what? 50 gazziollion games going? In the past we've just sorta ignored each other, and last I checked that seemed to be working fairly well...

Besides, the thread would probably break out into war every few days over which clan is the best...

Also, what would the thread end up turning into? Another random dump of posts where no one bothers to listen to what others say? Or would it just be another place filled with pointlessness?

I think it's a good idea. But I second SD's opinion, because I would think that would be better. So that it will be more active when it's open on special occastions then having it open 24/7.
