What's with the plus sign near my username?

I noticed that there is a plus sign near my username in the Who's Online page and Currently Active Users.
What is this? Is this something bad? I need to know. Maybe something terrible has happened to me while I wasn't looking.

I think it means someone has added you to their friend list.

Did you add yourself to your friend list? O.o

I don't see it.......

If it is by someone's name on your own account, that means you've added them to your buddy list. Apparently, you've added yourself. XD

I got comments like "Go read the Newbies guide...YOU NEWB!"
