Can another super-mod succesfully ban another super-mod?

I was thinking of this the other day, and I'm curious for the answer. Let's just say *now this would probably never happen...* but if one of our super-mods suddenly started spamming all over breaking every rule yadda yadda yadda, would another super-mod be able to ban him without the other super-mod reinstating himself here?

Re: Can another super-mod succesfully ban another super-mod?

I would assume that super mods can't do anything to eachother, but the admins sure can.

Continuing with your hypothetical situation, if a super mod were to start spamming and deserving a ban, and admin, such as Remus, would notice such a thing, and act upon it.

Once the person is banned, they're not super-mods any more, so they can't reinstate themselves.

Re: Can another super-mod succesfully ban another super-mod?

Nope. Super Mod can only ban people in the regular member usergroup, and all the mods are in an entirely different usergroup.

We can't ban clan members either.

no, they can ban clan members as soon as an admin (aka, remmy), takes them out of their clan group... ^_^

trust me, no one is safe here...

Andi is right. Fear everything. Your lives should be ruled by fear, becasue there is no escape from the horror that is ZU!

Anyway, I'd expect checks and balances to the powers that be. Just remember, you really have no rights, and you cant just get away with anything. There is no safety... Seriously though, I'd be more worried that one of our respected mods freaked out, than about the carnage that ensues, becasue it really would strike a blow to the foundation of ZU.

Re: Can another super-mod succesfully ban another super-mod?

Even if clan members were so safe that even an admin couldn't ban them, I wouldn't start breaking rules just because I could, I would still follow them. I assume that before a mod or super-mod is banned, an admin unmods them so that they're regular members, therefor bannable. Then they probably take action and ban them. I'm sure that with the temp ban rules, when a mod gets themself banned, they're no longer mods when they come back. I never knew that clan members couldn't be banned until they were taken out of that group, but I noticed that when The Golden Goron was banned for advertising through pm's his name was no longer on the clan list.

Funny you should mention The Golden Goron - I have him (or her, not sure) on MSN.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure this topic is ready for being locked.

Re: Can another super-mod succesfully ban another super-mod?

Rather than put them in the Reg group for banning, I'd just move them straight to the Banned group...

I could probably set it up so Clan members could be banned by Super Moderators as well, I'll have to check up on that later.

Anyways, topic closed.
