ZU Server Slowage

Okay, so over the past couple of weeks I have noticed that ZU has been particularly slow as of late... I know its not just my connection because every other site I go to works fine.

I was just wondering if anyone else knows of or has this problem, or if AnakiN- sees this, then could ye please tell us what be happening?

At the moment, its taking like about 5 minutes to post, access threads, everything... I'm also using 56k dialup

Yeah, I've noticed this as well. I'm on DSL, and I'm getting 56k-like speeds...it seems to speed up and slow down at random, so I'm really not sure what could be going on here. It's happened a few months before, then it stopped...and now it's back again. range.

I'm sure that it'll get worked out soon, though.

Yea, Im on cable internet, and ive noticed it being slow like 56k or slower.

Hopefully this is resolved soon.

The speed seems to be back to normal now...

It really goes anyway at anytime, it is probably jsu the server itself acting up, maybe it has too much garbage on it or is suddenly suckking up so much bandwidth with other sites ZU is feelign the slowdown too. I doubt that it is anythingthat can be easily fixed, probably jsut have to wiat til it adjusts or the server gets cleaned....

Yes, I am on a University connection (extremely fast) and I was getting 14.4K like speeds on ZU for a while. Now, though, things are cool. AnakiN said that ZU was switching servers, soon. Maybe it already happened?

Yes, I have grown increasingly tired with this.

The server provider has been contacted, and I told them that if they fail to provide a decent service, we will switch to another server provider.

All we can do is hope for the best!

Things seem to be better now, so hopefully they stay that way.

Yeah, I'm having no problems at the moment either... it was at its worst last week for me.

Hmm, seems like we're going pretty slow right now again...

I thought that the firewall my dad installed on our computer had something to do with the slowness of it. Now that I know that it's the sever, I want AnikiN- to switch servers if his provider doesn't give decent server speed. It's annoying sometimes, because when I want to post something, it takes about two minutes just to get to the screen.

Ok, now its becomming redicously slow. It takes 3 min, JUST TO OPEN UP THE REPLY Page, ON A CABLE MODEM!!!. Same thing for new topic & pm.

And also, it takes like 2 min for a topic to fully load everything.

That's odd, I don't seem to have too much trouble right now. It is slower than usual, though.

Gah, for me it is always slow. On a good day it takes a minute to load a page, otherwise its slow as hell ~_~ *kicks stupid dial-up internet which is just as worthless as she is* you get used to the slowness after a while...my parents dont want to get cable or high speed...*sigh* *goes to beg parents*

i havent noticed the slowness but lately i havent been able to get into the main forum page or the ZU homepage. this thing pops up that says it must end program now and if problems persist to reboot the computer. i did that every day for a week but it stays the same so i have to go through history into past threads. it must be the server because this doesnt happen on other sites i go to.

e_alert: Since it has only happened to you, I am quite sure it is a local problem, and not a server problem.

The server performance has gone up the past days, hopefully it will stay at a tolerable level.

Yep, it's definetly back to normal right now. I noticed the change last night.

Let's just hope it stays this way.

I've got a cable hookup and usually this forum doesn't take much more than a second or two to load, but one day I tried to post a reply and it took a good couple of minutes! I thought it was my computer though. Often enough all pages are 404 file not found or a Parental Guidence thing won't let me on any page, including ZeldaUniverse.net It often also takes multiple minutes to load a page. But hopefully (for my computer's sake) it wasn't me cause now it works just fine!
