My avatar...
i have just recently got an avatar off iconator.com and it was a picture of link running. i saved it, and then when i uploaded it to make it my avatar, he wasn't moving anymore. what do i do.

Depends how you saved it. If it was a .gif and you saved it as .bmp, .jpg, or .png, then that would kill all of the frames except for the first one, so basically you'd get a static image. I would go back to the site and re-download it as a .gif file, because I'm 99% sure that it is.

Well, D3PyroGS is right. If it's not saved as a .gif, then it won't move.

It could possibly be the size. One time I uploaded an avatar to a forum, and it didn't move until I resized it.

vB won't let you upload the image if it's too big, though. And unless you have a fancy program, resizing GIFs is not an easy or fun task...
