Problem with account

Everytime I log in at my home computer, it says I am banned, so I can't get on unless I go to the public library. How come it says I'm banned, but I can still come on?

I don't know if this will help, but when you are on your home computer did you try clearing all of your cookies? If you didn't try that, do it. If you continue having problems I suggest asking a mod.

Are you sure your IP address wasn't banned? If that isn't the case, then I don't get it whatsoever.

...um, what was the account to which you were banned from?

And if the IP was banned, he wouldn't be able to post this in the first place... unless he was smart enough to get around it.

Or if he has a dynamic IP.

So no one knows what's wrong with this account, well, I guess i'll just have some fun with it.

You're clearly able to post topics, and idiotic ones at that.

Just to tell you, this isn't a forum problem, it's a server problem. Therefore, you should probably post about this in the stickied "server bug thread". Spdude, the owner, would know how to deal with this issue far better than the forum runners who aren't qualified to screw around with the server.

I never said I wasn't able to I said that I coulden't get on at my house without getting a "You have been banned" message, I have to use the public library's computer to be able to get on and post, and while i'm on it won't let me post polls, and it always gives me a fatal error message.

Naw, the fatal error message and poll stuff is a server issue. The other stuff has something to do with your IP.

... are you sure you've never had an account here, or that nobody else in your family ever has? :< Because that's the only reason you should ever be getting a "you have been banned" message. It's clearly not a name-ban, and it's clearly only affecting one computer.

Hmm... if I had a suggestion, it would be to try and restart your cable modem box and reboot your computer. It might just be that someone in your region got banned from here, and you just happened to get a banned IP address at random.

Well it can't be anyone in my family, I'm the only one who goes on.

If you have a cable modem, it'll give you a random IP most times that it reloads. If someone in your same region with the same internet provider got ip banned and you got their old ip address, that would explain the problem.

Unplug your modem and plug it back in. See if that fixes the problem. If not, then I really have no other advice to offer. ;_; I'd just hop into the chat and harass Sea or someone in there, since you should be able to get into the chat just fine.

Nope, that hasn't worked, this is really starting to get irritating.

3a. If you are AB, then what do you mean someone got a hold on your account?
3b. If you aren't AB, then what are you talking about? Be more descriptive.

Please people, giving thought and description into your posts about problems makes solving them alot easier for mods and the few members that may know something about your problem.

I had this problem but it was different. When I had Dial-up I couldn't access the forums. You probably have a problem with your ISP and might have to call them, This is only a suggestion. Unless you have DSL or whatever else is faster than Dial-up I'm not quite sure what the problem is.

Ah okay, another question, why does it say that my account isn't active?
