"wht games should -INSERT NAME HERE- get!!!!!1" threads

Ever been to Genera Gaming? Then you should know what I'm talking about. People continuously make threads asking what games they should get. What's the point? Everyone who posts is going to say the exact same games that they said in the last simliar thread, which is usually on the same page.

Yes, I can agree on that topics like those pop up frequendly. But I am not sure what you want with your post here. Forbid them? Making an offical "what-game-shpoudl-I-get-topic"? Or what do you have in mind?

Well, some people have specific likes and dislikes. I know you're talking about me here.

So, I say this: Is it that bad? I never go to general gaming, and actually, I couldn't name one other topic in there.

Yeah, I'm a little tired of threads like this. The best solution? Stop making them, and look at reviews in magazines/on the internet. You should be able to discern the good from the bad relatively easily.

Well, magazines aren't always right. I want the opinions of my fellow ZUers.

Perhaps just a generalized 'Recommendations' Thread - somewhere people can go and check out what fellow ZUers recommend, and a place to post your own lists. I dig it. I also once asked what games I should get.

Yeh, I agree with pipking's idea. There have been quite a few of those threads recently, and they're staring to get annoying.

I think they're perfectly fine, to be honest. I don't think we've ever had more then one on the first page at once, and there's usually quite a bit of time between them. Like a week

And they bring life into an otherwise lifeless board, even if it is low-quality, boring life

Well, Merc has been kind enough to make an official suggestions thread in General Gaming now, so I guess problem solved
