have a mod and member of the month section!

Section? I don't quite see how that would warrant a section.

Besides, we have the bi-annual ZU Awards, which is just fine for recocnizing people for various things.

So, nice thought, but no need.

When do those awards take place? I always seem to miss em for some reason. :confused:

Instead of playing favourites twice a year, why not every month! No, I don't like the idea, I fear that names will be recycled, and people will go unappreciated.

Exactly. I'd win "member of the month" every month, and that would just be unfair to some of the other cool people.

I say yes and no to the idea. We already have the ZU Awards, so why bother for monthly winners. On the other hand, it would be cool to see a member of the month system.

The last thing ZU needs is something else to argue about. We already have the Serious Discussion back, we're seeing how that goes. We have some issues with the RPG being too 'boring' or too 'long' or some such crap, so someone's talking about trying to get the BA redone [again]. And we've got a lot of new members, a lot of new faces coming in daily.
Remember that thread 'Who do you like on ZU?' or something, remember how everyone started crying because they weren't being put on people's 'like' list? Can you imagine a member of the month system? There'd be a lot of controversy over the issue, a lot of whining and arguing.

In a tiny lil nutshell: I think it'd be too much of a hastle.

Well, year we did the season of summer, and since the awards are now bi-annual, the next awards session should be in Winter, skipping over Fall. I would say that since we start them when the actual season starts, expect them to begin sometime in early december

The awards should be held up to the Irish standard, in which the beginning of Winter is Nov. 1st. And it ends on the last day of January.

I don't see the point to be perfectly honest. The ZU Awards are good enough, there'll be less 'y wasnt i picked ' going on, because they can only complain for so long after the awards take place, if it was done on a monthly bases we'd see it all the time. And that'll make everybody at ZU Sad. There's so real need for them.

Though I think we should have some sort of Discussion of the Week in SD. The best debate gets pinned for a week. I just thought of that now to be honest though.
