If you want to discuss crap, then go to Gaia. Excuse the mods for trying to uphold some standards around here.

Exactly.

Gaia's probably more your speed. Mods almost never do anything, rule breaking or not. That, and they practically have no rules. -_- ZU has a lot stricter rules, to uphold a more civilized and mature environment. All mods are doing is enforcing the rules. And I don't know of any mods that are lock-happy, or take advantage of any of their powers.

And this probably should be in Feedback and Suggestions.

Re: lock happy Mods

At Zelda Universe we like to keep a standard of discussion quality. There are people here who are young, idiotic, do not read the forum rules, etc., and they post threads that have already been made in the past, do not facilitate any worthwhile discussion, or are just plain stupid.

This issue was recently addressed over here as well.

They do lock things for pretty lame reasons sometimes, you only have to have a quick around to see that. But i wouldnt say they do it too often.

possibly, but if an Admin has already posted here, it pretty much means it won't. They usually only lock threads if the question has been answered (so there is no need for that thread anymore), or if the thread has become a spam/flame/n00b fest.

If you guys don't give examples of this, we can't really believe you.

If anyone feels we have locked unjustly, send a pm to the mod who locked it and defend your case. If you believe that mod is still wrong after that, you can go to the admins or something.

This is what we call rent-modding. You do not need to post in a thread to say such things, then it's rather spam. Use the "report bad post" function, and forget about it.

I'ts because of the spammers, they fill up the forum with spam. that is why the mods have to be stricter, so the spam does not pile up!
If a topic is filled with flamers the mods will lock it because they don't want people to get hurt.

Sorry for being off topic, but Samus, why do you keep posting the same thing?

It's so that way ZU won't fall into such a s***hole. I mean, we already have idiots on the forum as it is, the mods are just thier to do their job and make sure that ZU is clear of spam. Becuase if there is a similar thread on a subject already being talked about, then of course it's going to get locked. If not, that would cause spam and such. Give the mods a break for christs sake.

Re: lock happy Mods

It's called you obey the ****ing rules or you don't. If you don't, topics get locked. It's the way the world works.

Re: lock happy Mods

I always find it funny how in topics like these, half of the people complaining about spammers or bad members are spammers or bad members themselves.

Anyways, the question has been answered, and nobody is doing anything except foolishly repeating each other at this point.

Edit by other staff: *Happy, happy, happy* Locked.
