Re: How do you get to be a writer for Behind the Rupees?
Initially, Lars put out a call for submissions when he first dreamed-up the column. Myself, Mystic and Mute were judged to have the best samples, so Lars gave it to us.
Mystic and Mute both had to leave the column, so we again put out a call for submissions and of the applicants, Bob clearly stood out. l-o-s recently came onboard - l-o-s got the gig purely on the basis of his reputation and writing ability, plus he was a guest-shot on a Roundtable and kicked arse. Right now we have three writers again, plus Lars and KK. Though the column is on an inconsistent schedule we're still all working away. So the short version is, "Thank you for your interest; we do not require any help at present." If someone leaves, KK will likely post an announcement and call for submissions. |

Re: How do you get to be a writer for Behind the Rupees?
The writers for BtR are all members of the forum community, and have been for a long while. They have also all proven their ability to write interesting articles.
The writers were chosen through an application process, in which they submitted sample articles to me, and the article was reviewed, and compared with other applications. But, as we don't need more than 3 writers for it, it's not an open process.
