Dumb strict clan games rules

Basically, what the title says. The place is supposed to be for fun, and your game threads get locked if you don't ask for approval. What the **** is that?

Right now, you've basically got "I'll say something, then you reply with your own word". That's what 90% of them are, because apparently everything else is just too spammy or 'not fun'. Heck, it's not like these forums count your posts or anything, what's the deal? I don't need to ask a mod if I want to post something in General Gaming, or ask a mod if I want to make a contest in Graphics Design. I don't need to ask a mod anywhere to post a thread (apart from perhaps BA), so why are the clan boards (that place for games and such) so restrictive?

How about we remove (or at least remove " LOL AUTHORIZATION NEEDED") from the boards, so we can get more than "cow - farm - hay - yellow"?

I've actually kinda wondered that myself.

The reason that rule was in place was supposed to be to prevent threads like that. But apparently no one cares anymore and spam threads are perfectly fine.

That rule was supposed to be in place to weed out the pure spam, and keep things a higher quality. If you have better ideas for games, please, suggest away. I'm sure they won't turn it down if it's sensible.

I've only ever seen one game posted in a clan that was worth playing anyway. Most game threads are pretty dull in the first place.

People who post "pure spam" won't be posting games. If it's a game, it's not going to be pure spam.

I can understand that games can have a purpose beyond spam, but there's always going to be a person that posts the thread, "Say YAKKA over and over!". It just... yeah. I think it's to discourage people from thinking of stupid games like that, that technically aren't even games. Just so they think a little beforehand.

Well if it's literally "Say YAKKA over and over!", then obviously it's going to get locked. That's not a game though. That would just be treated the same as someone posting "so who here has played zleda?" in General Zelda.

Think of a game that isn't word association, then. If it is good enough, it will get approved.

Only you can fix the problem!

Also - Clan business goes in the Clan boards. What's with all the threads whinging about Clan problems that the members caused all of a sudden?
