Should the post count be turned on in the clan section?

I was thinking the clan section would be more active if the post count was turned on. I realize alot of the posts there are considerd spammy, however, if the post count was turned on I think there would be more people joining clans and more members participating in that section. What do you guys/gals think?

Clans are there for people who want to be involved in their own select community, it works fine as it is now, there's no need to turn the post count on there.

It's supposed to be spammy. By having an area specifically for spam, this gives people who like to spam an area they are supposed to do so in, instead of cluttering up the regular boards.

I dare you to look in the Count to a Million thread and then say it's a good idea.

Re: Should the post count be turned on in the clan section?

Why would having posts count make them more active? I don't see how one follows from the other.

Plus, as it is, I'd say a good 90% of members at least join clans, and presumably post in them for at least awhile. So I really don't think they are suffering from a shortage of membership.

Re: Should the post count be turned on in the clan section?

That would mean we wouldn't be able to spam it up in the clans! That's why this is a horrible idea. No affence.

I disagree, because if I decide to post then it should count no matter what section it's in. Certaintly, having one area to spam doesn't mean anyone who likes to spam is only going to do so in one section? Furthermore, I really don't care but, I dont like to spam anywhere so it seems rather pointless to post in a section where it's allowed.

Yeah, no.

The clans are for spam. Turning on post counts would be silly.
