Well I still need to be able to edit that page! *sigh* Guess I'll wait 'till Jason is on...
EDIT: Where did my thread go? And why did my thread turn into a post on THIS thread? I kept my thread's name, but that's all, WHAT THE HELL!? Now it's saying that some other person made this thread, and now there are several posts that just suddenly popped up here? WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING!?
"Put a bullet to me. Bullet in the brain pan. Squish."
I was finally able to change up my signature a bit but it seems that every time I try to add my Dragon Cave dragons to my signature using the tiny url, it times out on me and either sends me to the 404 page or the fatal error.
I am not the only one that has the dragons in their signature either. I know that Shadow Samus and Fire Bird have them in their signatures as well. I have had these in my signature before with no problems.
I messed around in my profile and everything else seems to be working.
This happens to me occasionally, the oops one. I just hit refresh and it goes to the right page. So I figure it's not that important. Am I the only one that tried refresh?
EDIT: Just clicked The Village forum, I got the fatal error, hit back to go to the forums, then came to this page.
For God gave his one and only Son so that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him.
John 3: 16-17
I DON'T CARE IF YOU GOT IT. I only care HOW you got it.
If you got it randomly, that doesn't help me. So DON'T TELL ME if you got it. Tell me HOW. Geebus, me knowing that you have a problem doesn't help me at all!
EDIT: And Matt, how do you fix a problem if you don't know what's causing it? The problem has to be reproducible or nothing can be done. Don't you ****ing DARE accuse me of being lazy after I've been on the phone with tech fixing server issues for the past week. Don't you dare.
EDIT2: Sorry, I'm just tired. I don't mean to sound mean.
You fix the problem by looking into the most obvious place first. If that turns up nothing, then move on to somewhere more obscure. In some of the weird problems I have fixed, I had no clue where the issue was at. You have to look for it. And as I said on the secret forum, the problem is linked to the issues on the wiki. And that error message tells you exactly where the problem might be. It is a misconfiguration in the server.
So looking on the site configuration will get you nowhere. Because that is not where the problem is. It is in the server itself. That is why it appears to be random. That is why it cannot be reproduced easily. A problem with the server really won't care what the link is. It will just give an error at whatever the link is at the time it occurs.
