I'll try and explain what I see as going on though.


See, I do tend to delete joke posts, often they seem to add little (normally nothing) to the discussion.

However, rambling posts I'm more hit-and-miss on. Sometimes they get left if they're a valid continuation of the topic, sometimes they're deleted if they really aren't.

Couple that with two people getting into a discussion that starts to ramble, and my having had spotty internet access for the past month or so, and I think an explanation emerges.


That said, I'm trying to be more consistent in my moderating. Posts that exist solely to make a joke are now just going to be gone, I'm afraid, and a topic that rambles too much will be brought back in line.


Oh, and it's not as if I don't delete rambling conversations, not long ago I deleted one that went on for...oh, must've been 40 posts.

Is Power Shot a bad Mod? He asks this not because he cares if he is one, because such things couldn't possibly be true, but because he thinks that it will go somewhere entertaining.

I'd start randomly banning people to get them to hate me, but then a banned user can't post saying how much he hates me.

It's a really impossible-to-solve dillemma.

I used to have similar (yet very mild) feelings, Discussion.

Instead of focusing on the "It's not fair." feelings.


You could try

1) avoiding GDwarf's moderated domain (does it go past the SD?)
2)follow his rules, (even if they seem arbitrary)
3)not follow his rules and not complain about the consequences

Did I leave any options out?

anyway, I'm not grumpy enough yet, meaning I need to go drink some more coffee.

but I think GDwarf is one of the best mods on this site.
