In my opinion, and this is my opinion only now. The mods and staff here on ZU are doing an excellent job. Predator, there are some points in your argument that i agree with namely the deletion of the posts and threads. But i am sure the mod team here have a logical explanation to why these were deleted.

The problem with creating such a topic for forum drama is, and this has actually happened on another forum i visit is that the spam gets out of control so much that the mod team can't keep up with it all. Namely something catchy will come along like GTFO which is what nearly killed the other forum and will result in the admins having to close the forums for a while to clear things up and ban everyone who committed offenses on the site permanently. A lot worse than this actually happened but i can't remember what it was exactly and even if i posted what i knew of it on here i sure would be banned because of how bad it is.

Anyway enough rambling. To sum up everything, i think the moderation team here on ZU are doing a great job, and Predator it sounds partly with some of the argument that if you post pictures like that up then you are going to get posts deleted and locked because i think it is spam myself.

Sorry the_Predator, but your posts were spammy. It's not up to you to decide if the thread has died or not, its kind of obnoxious when someone does that, even if its a mod. But, its the mods that are the ones who make the call. But I do agree that deleting posts is a very stupid moderation tactic.

That's about all I have to say here.

I have found that in most cases when I try to sort out anything in private it ends up worse than it was. I prefer this approach, thank you. Just because I might not be staff on this particular site really doesn't mean that I don't have any idea how it might just be improved. And if you read through the thread you'll see that everyone agreed on one thing - Give users feedback whenever you delete posts in order to avoid this and to not make yourself look like an idiot. I hope that this is actually getting considered.

People here don't get infractions for having questions about the moderation. They are providing feedback, which is the whole purpose of the Feedback, Suggestions, and Questions forum.

Moderators don't just get people in trouble for giving us feedback, or having an issue with us. We try and be fair and work it out. We don't just bash you for having a concern or something. Please just... don't be so concerned. If you don't think this thread has any point or meaning, then just stay out of it. End of story.

heyheyhey, nothing is perfect.
Myself; I am perfectly fine with the mods, but I can understand if some people aren't. They should be able to put it forward it; especially if they do it formally.

You contradicted yourself ; You said this site has good moderators. If they are good, they wouldn't deal infractions for simple stuff like this.

Uh, people have different ideas of spam. What constitutes spam needs a clear defining meaning, and not just Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages. Even the shortest of messages have points in them if phrased correctly, and hey, whats wrong with the use of images.

I received an infraction for saying that Twilight Wolf was ugly, despite the fact that he knowingly went into the thread to troll me, which I'm sure he got off nicely for. The posts were deleted though, and I thought it was funny and I'm not whining about it.

Discussion, if you have an issue, then report it to a moderator when it happens. This way a mod can take care of a situation.

People need to understand that you need to report things, then they get handled. We can't possibly be everywhere locking threads, cleaning up spam posts, sorting people into clans and dealing with personal issues without a little help.

Next time you have a problem, report it and it will be dealt with.
