[Suggestion] Group Posts

I think it would make things a lot easier for us ZUers if the group posts acted like the rest of the message sending features. I feel that there could (should) be an alert system for new group posts like for the PM's and threads.
Anyone else agree?

I don't fully understand what you mean by an alert system.

Maybe that wasn't the best way to phrase that...
I mean like how PMs are distributed with the messages showing up in your CP, as do the visitor messages and group invitations.

Well, I get notifications for all of those anyways.

I see what your saying, and I think it's a good idea. No idea rather or not rather they'll do it though.

I'm pretty sure that isn't something that the mods here would be able to pull out of a hat and create for the forums. That's part of the programming of vBulletin so something like this would have to be suggested to the staff on the vBulletin site to make this happen.

This kind-of could be a good feature to have but if you are a member of a popular group that really gets new posts in the group every minute, it would be very tiresome to keep clicking that link just to see that someone else had said something and then you'd have to wonder which group this post is a part of. If you're in many groups you'd have the post alert telling you of posts in groups you want to be notified of and those that you really don't care much for but won't remove yourself from being a member of it. That's one way to consider this.

They should work more like subscribed threads.
