Server Migration (Update 2/26)

There is some slight slowness when posting in quick reply but its not really as bad as it was. Plus so far, no errors! Good job, sluzorz! (i still have the slight log in issue that it logs me out if i close out my browser but ehh...i can deal.)

It did. But the site was still usable.

I'm having a bit of wierdness with the user CP on mobile. It seems to get confused and try to make the site mobile format, whn the skin I'm using (Dark Green) isn't normally supposed to do that. Not sure if it's related. Everything's been moving at good speed though.

When I first go to ZU, it shows me as logged out. By refreshing or going to another page I am logged in.

Double posts are also rampant.

I noticed that if you hit the "save" button when you log in and exit out and it logs you out anyway, you can just click one of the subforums and you'll automatically be logged in.

Everything that has transpired has done so according to my design.

I don't think that has to do with the server.

I think it's the quick reply being slow, causing people to hit the button two/three times in a row and the packet sends twice and bypasses the thirty minute double post filter or something.

Still caused by the server, but it only requires one fix if I'm right.

I pretty much never hit the button twice, yet still get double posts.

I find that if you go back or go to a different page right as the page loading progress moves from one slow load time to another, you can trick it into only posting once. Though it is kind of annoying that we have to do that at all.

I can't search. Gives me a blank page.
(Cleaned cookies, etc.)

Is it related to the server or just my PC being old and crazy? Does anyone else get this?

The search page appears to be working, although it's possible that due to server lag, your computer gave up on it before it could load.

No, actually. With the way the system is set up, it rejects submissions from clicking multiple times, but it can't reject submissions from the server studdering. So, the double posts have nothing to do with multiple clicks.

The 503s and 502s are rearing their ugly heads again. Just a heads up.

Yeah, it's getting a bit slower again.

It's most likely due to higher server-loads at certain times.

I'll try to mitigate these problems as much as I can.
