The only time I think someone should be allowed access to the Temple and not the Clans are people like Blizz, who opted out of their clan.



Allowing anyone to enter the Temple, though, would ruin the sanctity.

It's not I wish the games to be there because of tradition.

It's because I think ZU is very lenient nowadays. The GCC has opportunities for different kind of conversations; the [fun] tagged are quite clan-like enough, not to mention the GCC Thread, that's totally like the Discussion Threads of clans. And the Saloon in the Temple of Light and Dark.

As it was mentioned above, you have plenty of other things to do, some of them are also lenient (e.g. the new RP section).

We also have the detailed games in CC like the Mafia, which is, I think, good enough to build a community, good enough to make normal, quality conversations, and it's not completely made of spam.

Therefore, you have plenty of opportunities to do things around the forum without being in a clan that are lenient and fun enough, kind of like games. If you don't want to join a clan, use them.

The spammy games are for the clans; if nothing else, we don't want newbies who think that post count matters, spam the whole CC. I'd despise to see that.

That's my two cents and I sincerely hope clan games WON'T go to CC or GCC. Sorry.

The Temple is a benefit of the clans. If you don't want to be in one, you shouldn't get that benefit.

But that function isn't best served by restricting access, while creating a community of the like-minded is.

White Whine - A Collection of First-World Problems

You know, personally, one of the reasons (just one) that I won't join a clan is because I dislike the principal (to steal the word being thrown around here) behind them-- that they're exclusive. Not necessarily from the main boards of the forum, but from each other as well.

I think that's completely stupid. I really can't stand how there are three of them, and how they're exclusive to people from each specific one. Because as an outsider, all I've seen is that the exclusivity causes drama, and, as others brought up, people from clans can't view the other clans.

I mean, the purpose is to be a big spam pit right? Well I figure if people wanted that, it should be one big spam pit, not four with one of them viewable by all members.

I'm so sick of seeing people like "oh well I only post that stuff in the clans", like some people I had no idea were artists, or the like.
I just hate how totally based on excluding the clans are.

Anyway that's my rant.
About the actual topic of forum games, most of them are dumb and I couldn't care less.


EDIT: I'm just throwing in my two cents while it's somewhat relevant.
This is a disclaimer because I'm sure a ton of people would be ready to whine about my whining.

Short version is that I think the clans suck and no you're not going to change my mind and no I don't really care why you like them, no need to continue this discussion (because nothing I say will matter to anyone anyway).
