Sig Limits?

Can you guys open up the sig size restriction some? Limiting images to 650x150 is pretty annoying, especially when we only get 650x240, and it sucks because, oftentimes, I find what I want to be in my sig too big and then I have to shrink it down. It's especially annoying if you have a sig and want links and stuff like that. It's also annoying when the preview shows stuff being in the sig, when it just gets cut off in the end. And like, there's no way that something like this...

should be too big. Personally, I think that the whole size in general should be opened to 650x500 overall, with no limits on individual image size, as long as it fits the parameters, but I know all you other people won't like it and I know you mods will probably immediately go "lol **** no i hate that Ke$ha fag", but can we maybe try opening up the sizes a bit? I don't think too many people would abuse it and just have a bunch of people with huge sigs, but who knows.

tl;dr make sigs bigger

The only problem is that not everyone has a good internet connection.

A signature's not supposed to be big. It's a signature.
Also it could turn into some 300 type thing. "OUR SIGNATURES WILL BLOT OUT THE POSTS!" or something like that.

Maybe some of the fags might. But the majority of people probably won't. It doesn't have to be 650x500, that was just a suggestion. Hell, I'll settle for even 650x400 or 650x300.

I understand, but I was referring more to the abusers than to the size.

Eh. I think they're fine. Some people, like me, don't even use up the maximum.

I'm saying that a few people might abuse it at first as a joke, but even if it gets too bad 400 height would work, too.

Like, 200 or so is way too small.

I really dont have a problem with the sig restrictions here. Sigs that are too large get annoying. I frequent a forum where the sig restrictions are 300x300 and to me, thats too big. 300 length is just simply too large. (the problem with that forum is that they restrict the sigs to 100kb. D: )

moiph's site used to be 400x400 and that worked pretty well.

Most forums I go on there aren't sig limits and the people are responsible and few have massive signatures. The same thing will probably go for here.

However... we should take a poll to find out the average bandwidth members use and maybe adjust the sig limit accordingly? If bandwidth is the only reason we wouldn't increase the limit we should know what bandwidth we have to work with.

I agree. In fact, i was shocked that no one said "Oi, your sigs too big!" So yeah, i see no issue.

Honestly, I think the current limits are big. Heck, it used to be 400x150 or something a year or two ago. But yeah, I don't see why you would need a 500x500 space. It would just make things look cluttered.

(Also, yes it would be abused, and I personally would not like it if Tott's signature suddenly turned into a 500x500 square.)

You mods.. I swear. Someone brings up an idea for something and the first thing most of you think is "omg it's going to be abused".

If someone wants to make an annoying signature they're going to do it no matter what size limits there are.
