Regarding Post Counts

Wow... that brought me four shy of 1000 posts.

So, Gold's penis is now 3 times the size of Crystal/sea?

Gold posts almost 100 times every day, statistically.

Holy cow! I lost about 700 posts. Considering I have maybe a handful of posts ever in the BA, I'd assume all the ones I lost were from the clan forum in 2004 . I guess I can poke fun at all the people who used to make fun of me for post-whoring, who now have a ridiculous amount of posts more than me. (That last sentence was definitely not directed at Scott. Not at all. )

After this change, NO POSTS WILL COUNT EVER.

One forum i go to did that. Its incredibly lame. They did it to get rid of the "e-penis" thing even though it never really existed there.

Just eradicate the public post counts.
They're meaningless.

Problem is, they eradicated seeing your post count in your profile. You can see your post average and where youre most active but you cant see how many posts you have anywhere. Its kinda silly really. The reason for this is simple, to ensure that newbs get equal share of attention (despite your join date still being visible). Some people think that the lower the post count, the less you are going to be noticed. *shrug* thats not really true at any forum.
I voted against taking away post count on that forum not because i liked seeing inflated post counts but because i saw no point in erasing them.

You said post count was meaningless, not unimportant, uninteresting, and non-unique. Non of those things are any more meaningful.

If you're going to refute a point, don't change yours to try to make it better for you.

What? Its all about that guy who has a ridiculously low post count but with a pretty impressive Sig/Avatar/Rank/etc.

Come the hell on. Next to everything else, public post counts are meaningless. My point didn't change.
You compared avatars, signatures, and other user-defined features to post count. They are in no way related.

That's only true for the Temple skin. Every other skin except possibly the mobile skin definitely has post count displayed in the profile.

It is unique. Pretty much everybody on the site has a different post count. Except for all them 0, 1's and 2 posters.
