Gaaah! Colored text!

Do we need all this colored text? Some people use it constantly. It strains your eyes and makes them sound like a serial killer.

Why do we need it?

If you think this is annoying, then voice your opinion!

I only know of 3 people that use colored text and one doesn't even post anymore.

I find it annoying as hell actually.

I don't see the problem.

Seriously, this is the only forum that even brings it up, let alone complains about it. Why don't you guys fix your eye sight instead of making us stop doing something we want.

"I think all the extra stuff by our names looks annoying, get rid of it cause I'm a whinny brat"

Highlight it.

People like Princess_Zelda, or whatever, only speak using colored text. It practically gives me a migrane when I try to read their posts, and my eyes don't strain easily.

I used to too and this is the only site that mentioned it, let alone complained.

Why don't you just not read those posts? If you care so much take the 2 seconds to highlight it. There's only what? Three people in the Universe (excuse the horrible pun) that can't handle it? Let people be themselves.

That effect is kind of cool, though.

It takes significantly less than 5 seconds to highlight. Why skip a post instead of highlighting?

I didn't know the highlighting trick.

Double clicking only highlights one word though. To highlight the whole sentence you need to drag the mouse.

The only annoying text is red and blue, because neither are particularly readable on any skin.

Yeah sure, if you want to do it one word at a time. Clicking and dragging with the mouse works better, as does Ctrl+A.

well with my computer, it highlights the whole sentence.
Or you could just, right click > select all.

ie. Ctrl+A.

Thanks, Renee, I'll try that, as, in my opinion, it's easier than highliting for me.

I love how this has turned into an advice thread on how to highlight text.

Oopsie...actually you're supposed to triple click on the text!
