You'll notice that Jason said nothing about Christmas. He called it the "winter theme".
I am unaware if it had Christmas imagery last time, but whatever.

Also, Christmas and winter don't exist without each other in this hemisphere. So yes, it is hard.

I'm kind of assuming Jason meant a Christmas theme, since last year that was apparently the case.

It's easy! Christmas trees, candy canes, presents, stockings, mistletoe, Santa...they don't necessarily have anything to do with winter.

I think it was the tone, more than anything...it's easy to see how telling everyone to "shut the **** up" can be construed as being a tad hostile.

But let's not turn this into a flame war...we really don't need that.


So yeah, I actually am all for a Christmas theme. I guess I just don't much like the idea of it also being a winter theme.

How am I being hostile, exactly? I really don't see how making a suggestion about the themes can be construed as hostility, personally...after all, this is what the Feedback, Suggestion and Questions forum is for.

Since no matter what Jason makes the theme as in this situation, someone will complain. So the only logical thing to do is not have a special theme, so everyone can shut their mouths.

Make the top half winter themed, and the bottom half summer themed. Or we move everyone living in the Southern Hemisphere to the north. Either way problem solved.
