Is there any way...
To change the time out feature for my account? Everytime I post something that takes me more than 5 minute to type, I have to copy it and log back in to post it. Its quite annoying to have log back in every 10 minutes.

Moved to FSQ.
I don't think there's a way to change the time out time, but if you check the "Remember me" box, it should leave you signed in until you click "log out".

Re: Is there any way...
Probably should be fifteen minutes or even twenty. Thirty seems too long, but ten seems a bit short. As they aren't liable to change it though, I'd recommend keeping a page open to the "Currently Active Users" list. It will constantly refresh, so you'll never timeout.

If you click the "Remember me" box, you'll never time out. At least for me, anyway.

While I haven't specifically checked, I think the time-out time is 15 minutes. Gets annoying if I'm browsing a thread with large posts, or if my computer or the site is going really slowly.

Re: Is there any way...
I'm pretty sure it times out after 15 minutes, not 5.
But yeah, just click "Remember me" if you want to stay logged in. Edit: ninja!

Re: Is there any way...
It really doesn't. I've got it on Remember Me too, but if I don't do anything on ZU for ~15 minutes then it will consider me as logged out. Doing anything on the site at all after that will log me in automatically. (including things which require you to already be logged in, such as posting)

Re: Is there any way...
Do you want me to prove I'm right? It will be rather easy to prove. (although it will of course take around 15 minutes.)

Re: Is there any way...
Every time I time out I just hit my Keepass keyboard shortcut and it re-enters my password for me.
No biggie. (Also I set Firefox to keep minimal history and clear everything on exit, so...)

Re: Is there any way...
I use the "remember me", and I never timed out. Even when I'm inactive for a few hours.
I did once go to my profile after I've been inactive for a time, and it said I wasn't online, while the box in the upper right said I was logged in.

Re: Is there any way...
Okay. All you people who say you've never timed out, I've got a question for you.
Have you, after having done nothing on ZU for ~15 minutes, looked at the logged-in/not-logged-in status of your account from another computer? (Even just looking from another browser on the same computer would work.)
