Okay, so this has been happening probably since the redesign last year, and I've been to lazy to mention it.
Anyway, when I create a new thread, it gives me default tags based on the title of the thread. Obviously. But when I try to get rid of the ones of those I don't want and add my own, it will literally just add mine to the originals. Even if I do the thing in the editor where you check off boxes. If I uncheck the boxes of the tags I don't want, nothing happens. Does this happen to anybody else? Is there a simple (or not) explanation/solution for this?

But still, why would you want to not have this as default? A thread's keywords tend to be in the title anyway. (And if they're not, you might want to think about whether your title is the best title, considering the topic.)

Re: Tags
That's an intentional setting.

Re: Tags
Oh. Okay. Why? I don't understand why we shouldn't be able to customize the tags completely.

Re: Tags
Gah, I hate autotags. :Z
They sometimes can be useful, but some of the tags are words that are too general to be put in the tag cloud. |
