[Question] Can you delete social-groups you created?

There's at least one inactive, pointless one that I'd like to get rid of.

Is this possible or no?

Can you delete social-groups you created?

Yes:

Manage Members -> Check/Uncheck All -> Remove Members -> Delete Group -> Yes

I may as well ask here instead of creating another thread: Can you subscribe to social groups, and by this I mean get a notification in your User CP, like with threads, when someone posts in one of the discussions? I'm subscribed to one I made, but I never get notified when someone posts there. The only way I know is if I randomly check back to see what's new.

That system was supposed to come with the social groups, but I'm guessing it was disabled, or something. As far as I know, you can not at this point in time.

Lol. Hopefully it'll be enabled or something, because it makes social groups lame.

I agree. It would also help them survive longer because people would be "hey, I remeber this place... oh look, something new! *Click.*"

No, there is no option to subscribe to social groups right now. With the next major release of vB, there hopefully will.

One of these days.... we will finally be able to subscribe to social groups.

... only works if you're on Hotmail pressing F5 all day, or you're on MSN and your e-mail address for that matches the e-mail address you use for Zelda Universe.

It should be shown in your User CP, which it should be come the next vBulletin update.

Which I find a lot more convenient than sitting in my User CP, refreshing all day. I do it for threads, too.

I might add a new section to the social groups I start:

"Please download and be on MSN and/or stay on Hotmail pressing F5 whilst browsing Zelda Universe after joining this social group, since that will be the best way to find out who's posting what when!"

I'm not being a smart ass, you're being a smart ass by saying "lul you can do this on MSN and Hotmail lul". It's much more convenient to have subscription updates inside of the forum you're trying to browse, and if you don't want to use it like 90% of other members would, then that's your personal preference.

I leave hotmail open, so it is more convenient to go refresh that tab then to go to ZU and open my CP in a new tab.

You having Hotmail open when you browse the internet is absolute fine, and convenient for you. However, you can't expect most of ZU's population to do the same thing, and in that case, having an option to check in the User CP, on the forums, makes it easier for everyone. If you close Hotmail by accident, you can click User CP instead of going to Hotmail.com, typing in your password and/or e-mail, then looking there.
