THE LEGEND OF ZELDA World Echoes

Prologue

In the land of Hyrule there is a legend, of a fairy boy in green from the forest who was sent upon a mission by the kingdoms child princess to recover the Kakori Emerald, the Goron Ruby and, the Zora Sapphire. When he completed these tasks he returned to the town to find the princess fleeing, as a last ditch effort to banish a great evil from the land the princess bestowed upon him the kingdoms treasure, the Ocarina of Time. The boy entered the temple of time in the town and with the three gems and a song the boy opened the doors of time once he passed through the doors he drew the blade of evil’s bane and fell into a deep sleep. During this time the evil king of the Gereodo Ganondorf entered the doors of time and lay his hands upon one of the sacred golden triangles, the Triforce of Power. For seven years Ganondorf ruled the land through fear unopposed he cast Hyrule into darkness and created a land of shadows, the people of the kingdom prayed for a hero and yet their only hope lay trapped in what seemed to be an eternal slumber…


When the boy finally awoke he met the sage of light Rauru who explained the situation and that
the boy was destined to be the legendary hero of time but he was to young to be so when he drew the
master sword and was sealed in the temple of light for seven years while he slept. After he told him that
he must awaken five other sages who lay trapped in their respective temples. With that the boy, now a
young man was returned to Hyrule to begin his new quest…

When he returned he met the sole remaining sheikah Sheik the boy went to the forest temple and
awakened the first sage his childhood friend Saria, In the fire temple his sworn brother Daruna awoke. In
the lakebed temple the princess of the Zoras Ruto was awakened. The shadow temple revealed two secrets
that Zelda’s nursemaid Impa was the sage of shadow and that there was a mysterious seventh sage…
After freeing Naburu the sprit sage the boy learned that Sheik was the seventh sage princess Zelda who
was kidnapped immediately after once he freed her and defeated Ganondorf he was sent back in time to
relive his lost years…



In the land of Termina a boy in green was given the task of stopping the lands moon from crushing it in
three days the boy did this and recovered the ancient mask of great evil that had caused the peril…



Chapter I
Link’s Battle

Link awoke to the sensation of his hand burning he glanced at it. The mark on the back of his hand (the Triforce as he had discovered) was glowing white hot. He knew that when it burned something big was going to happen. He settled back in, if there was a problem close enough for him to do anything about he would know of it. Link closed his eyes then sat upright, something was wrong and he knew it. He ran to he window and ripped open the curtains. What he saw was enough to make him do a double take the sacred grove was burning. Quickly Link rushed to the basement and kicked open a chest from inside he took an armories worth of tools (souvenirs of his previous adventure). He left his hero’s tunic and zora’s armor (he had returned his magic armor to Malo a year ago). Link ran to his balcony, put his horse whistle to his lips and blew (there was no point in walking) he leapt off the balcony onto his horse, Epona. “Yah!” Epona rushed off into the woods in no time they were thundering across the bridge Link had built a year earlier. Link knew he had to enter he had sworn to guard the master sword with his life. When he entered the ruins of the temple of time he saw the one man he thought he’d never see again. Link swore, “Ganondorf!” he yelled. Ganon turned around, and for the first time Link saw the mask Ganondorf was wearing. Ganondorf laughed but it wasn’t the evil twisted laugh that had haunted Links nightmares for a year it was a giggle, a most unnerving sound coming from the mouth of this evil man. Link did the one thing he could do he dug his heels into Epona’s sides and charged Ganondorf armed with only his hylan shield he knew it was a mistake but he had no choice, he knew he had lost when Epona was lifted up in front of him he hit the ground hard and rolled when he came upright he rushed Ganon again and was once again knocked back, this time Ganondorf took his items with his powers. “He didn’t have this sort of power last time we fought“, Link thought. Ganondorf stored all of Link’s equipment away and disappeared with Epona into a hole in the ground that Link took note of for the first time. Link, left with one choice drew the master sword and followed into the unknown…
