[Set Piece] Red
The peak of Mt. Silver was lit by the sunset, silhouetting Red, casting his shadow into a giant, stretching out towards the waiting Gold. Here, it was barren. There was nothing. Nothing on this rocky mountaintop except Gold, and Red. Gold stood tall, and looked at Red, but Red said nothing, still outlined against the sun staring away into the horizon. Somehow, Gold knew better than to say anything. Time was not important here.
They both looked similar. You could perhaps mistake them as brothers. Red was older, leaner, commanded an atmosphere of respect. His signature red cap was placed down, shading his blue eyes. Gold wore his yellow cap jauntily, placing it on an angle, his black air spiking up at the fringe. Red wore a red shirt and blue trousers, all of which looked worn, with scrapes and cuts attesting to many long adventures. Gold's clothing was newer, his black shorts and red shirt less touched by time.
Red kept looking out onto the horizon, and Gold kept waiting.
There was a price to pay for being the best. The price for being the best, is that you have to be the best, and know that one day, someone will come looking. Someone younger, faster, smarter, who has the skills. And to be the best, you have to face them. You can't stop. You can't say no. You have to face them, and one day, you won't have enough. That's the price for being the best, and it is a heavy price to pay.
Red moved firmly, someone in total control of their body, and reached for the Pokeball at his belt. He threw it up in the air, then caught it, looking out at the sunset the whole time, then he turned, and looked at Gold. There was no speaking. What words needed to be said? They both knew what had to be done, here, now, in this place.
They both tossed their Pokeballs to the battleground, and the fight began.
idk what this is, I just felt in the mood for it.
