The Legend of Zelda Origins: Majora's Mask (G)

The Legend of Zelda: Origins
Majora’s Mask

Chapter One: The Dark Realm

Somewhere in the vague depths of Hyrule, there was a dark tribe. The dark tribe had many extraordinary abilities. This tribe had been banished to this dark world, and with all the rage, they began to think. They thought and thought and as time went on, the tribe began to multiply and soon became a race. The elders of these people had gathered and thought of a way they could bring devastation to the land of Hyrule, as vengeance. Until one of the elders said, “Why don’t we make our very own creation!?”. Another elder said “…A creation?”
“Not just any creation… a mask!”
“A mask!?”
“Yes… a mask that will corrupt the mind of any who wear it! Then they will suffer the same consequences our ancestors did!”
“Getting back at them, with the same stone? That’s brilliant!”

The elders began to secretly work on this project at once. A few years past and the creation had just begun. “Well, now that we have everything we need to begin our creation. We will need to make it look harmless or else no one will wear it…” said one of the elders.
The elders fused their evil energies together, to form a mask. The mask sat on a tall pedestal, gleaming with its dark power.
“What shall we name it?” asked one of the elders,
“…Majora’s Mask, this way the one who finds it will think it belonged to someone and therefore it would be harmless.” said the eldest of the dark tribe.
“Very well then, this mask will be named: Majora’s Mask.” The elders soon wrote a small letter. The letter was signed by ‘Majora’.

The elders released the news to the rest of the dark tribe and suddenly, they discovered a problem: How were they going to give the mask to Hyrule?
The elders pondered over this. If there was a simple way to enter Hyrule, the dark tribe would have done it a long time ago. After months of thinking the eldest of the dark tribe came up with a solution.
“There is about the same amount of magic as there is energy in the portal to Hyrule. When our ancestors entered this dark realm the portal closed for eternity. If we can combine all of our energy and dark magic together, we might be able to create the same amount of magic and energy that once imprisoned us into this dark realm… but… it will only open for a few seconds and… it might be fatal.”

The elders made up their mind, they would open the portal. The five elders of the dark tribe gathered together in the Dark Temple and circled the evil mask. Together, they held hands and began to transfer their energy towards the heart of the temple. The energy and evil magic came out of the five elders and created a very small opening. A small light came through the tiny portal.
“Now!” yelled the eldest. The five elders used their power to the fullest and the mask, along with the letter, were sucked in through the portal. It landed in a soft spot in the lost woods. The lost woods were silent.
The elders tried hard to stop transferring their power, but it was too late. The temple was crumbling to the ground. The elders perished under the ruins of the dark evil temple. Never to be seen again.

Chapter 2: The Skullkid

Many many years passed. The Lost Woods were quiet. Not many people traveled through the lost woods. There was one particular being that wandered through the lost woods. His name was Skullkid. Skullkid was lost, for who knows how long. But Skullkid wasn't sad, nor scared. He enjoyed being by himself, playing his flute. Playing the same tune over and over again.
One dark evening Skullkid was skipping through the lost woods, like always. He was looking for someone to play with, like always. Until that evening, he stumbled across a toy.
"Oh! A new toy!" he said jumping with joy.
"Funny, I don't remember anything like this in these parts of the woods..." Skullkid picked it up and cleaned the dust off. Thier were leaves stuck to the edges of the toy. Skullkid then noticed a note beside the toys resting space.
"Hmmm, whats this? Writing? M..m...ma...mask.." he said and threw the paper over his shoulder. "Wee! I wonder what this new toy could be!" He wasn't aware of it being a wearable acessory. He walked back to a comfortable spot and sat down. After hours of swinging the mask like a weapon, he decided to go search for more toys. Days passed and he still didn't find anything, except two little fairies. "Hi! My names Skullkid, wanna play with my toy?"
"That's not a toy!" replied one of the fairies, "Thats a mask!"
Skullkid looked puzzeled, "whats that?" he asked. "You put it on your face!" replied the other fairy. "Like this?" Skullkid said while putting on the mask. "Ya, like that."
