Chapter One: Hyrule Field. By: Dark Blade
This chapter is made by Dark Blade, not me. My chapters are later on.
"Wake up...oh chosen one...wake up!". Underneath the star lit sky link awakens while on a short journey to search for a companion which was by his side all the way when he fought the terror which was Ganondorf. While on his journey he is joined by a young friend quite like himself, a child abandoned in the kokiri forest. How he survived like link did, no-one knows and cares to question the idea, yet he managed to grow up un-noticed up until he fled the forest during link's fight inside the great deku tree. "You heard the gods again...didn't you?" heidakar said in a calm voice "I didnt want to, but it seems i'm needed again.." link replied "I don't want the burden of being the hero of this land anymore. The only thing that matters to me now is finding...her". As he stood up link was glad he was just a mere child rather than the hero everyone knew he was, and the only thing which was on his mind was how he could get his long lost friend back and also get rid of the voices of the gods telling him to become what he once was just once more. "Instead of ignoring the call of the gods why not just return to the temple of time to see what it is they are asking of you?" heidakar said as he stood "would it be so hard, not to fulfill they're needs but only to see?" he said with a smile coming across his face. Link stared up at the moon and the stars and then slowly concentrated his attention to the ground he stood on "you don't understand...without her I'm not who everyone makes me out to be" link's voice grew more serious "I would be nothing more than a Hylian from kokiri forest with a blade", heidakar's anger got the better of him as he replied "nothing more than?! you are Link! the Hero Of Time! not just a simpleton like me or anyone else, you may of lost Navi but that does not change who and what you are!" heidakar grabbed link by the wrist and the back of his hand glowed with the golden triforce piece "look at this! you're saying you are a normal Hylian? tell me please I'll wait for an eternity how many other hylians do you know apart from the princess Zelda have this mark on they're hand?". Link broke out of heidakar's hold on his wrist and looked at the mark as it slowly faded, then put his arms by his side "...the gods..you...if it will please you both and make you both stop hassling me then fine, we shall go and see what they are asking of me" link looked up and forced a smile on his face then walked towards the fire which he had been sleeping near and grabbed his things, "i knew you'd listen eventually" heidakar said with a huge grin "I'm so excited!...my first visit to Castle Town". As link began to walk with all his things finally gathered he stopped in front of heidakar and said softly "by the way..." "what?" heidakar said still with his large smile, "never speak that name again until we finally find her" link continued to walk as heidakar stood still with a blank look on his face "...my apologies..."then ran to catch up with link. As the sun rose from the hills of hyrule field link and heidakar came in through the mist of hyrule field, they past many well known threats along the way, peahats which lay on the ground waiting for passers by so they could rise from the ground to attack and their offspring peahat larvas which were slightly smaller yet just as deadly disguised as large plants yet once disturbed huge plant like spikes would emerge from all sides of them. Greatfully the two adventurers managed to pass these with ease yet came across a business scrub laying in the middle of the field. "You there! you two! you look like you could do with some new supplies!" the scrub said in a rather annoying voice while deku nuts spewed from its mouth with no intention to harm link and heidakar. "We have all the supplies we need...thanks anyway..." link said dismissing the scrub as they continued walking, yet heidakar couldn't help but humour the poor thing, a smirk rose on his face as he stopped "what supplies do you have to offer that could possibly aid me and my friend here?" the scrub happy to see he had been acknowledged hopped toward heidakar, but link noticed heidakar was slowly drawing his kokirian blade behind his back ready to strike the scrub down when he came closer. "I have many things!...bottles...potions...arrows..bo-" link interrupted the scrub and grabbed heidakar by the shoulder and pulled him back "what do you think you're doing?" link whispered in to his ear "getting rid of this useless thing so other people do not have to go through the same hassle as we are now" haidekar whispered back with his smirk, now turned in to a dark look on his face. "Once again scrub...no thank you" link pushed heidakars blade back in to his sheath and pulled him back once more "now lets continue walking theres no need to kill what does not pose a threat to us" link whispered with anger in his voice. After letting go of heidakars shoulder link continued on walking, heidakar let go of the handle on his blade and glared at link took one more look at the scrub and then turned around and followed his protoge. "What strange children" the scrub said to itself before digging itself in to the ground. Next time in chapter 2: link and heidakar arrive at the gates of castle town to find the gates are in need of repair so they make a pit stop at kakariko village what will await our two travellers at Kakariko Village? find out in chapter 2: Kakariko village- heidakars true home... |

Chapter 2: Kakariko Village- Heidakars true home By: Dark Blade
Chapter 2: Kakariko Village- Heidakars true home
After the worst had passed between heidakar, his blade and a simple business scrub, link was quickly becoming tired of walking underneath the hot sun across hyrule field. 'I've never seen heidakar so eager to take the life of something before..' link thought to himself as he dragged his feet across the ground and his hat in his hand with sweat dropping down from his forehead 'maybe it was how he slept...oh well...' link left his thoughts for now and focused only on reaching the gates of castle town with heidakar running on ahead every so often chasing small fairies laughing then stopping for link to catch up. "Come on! your slacking off link!" heidakar said while laughing playfully, "you need to get more excercise...you walk around for a while in the sun and your exhausted haha!" heidakar laughed and carried on chasing fairies while link stopped to have some milk he got from lon-lon ranch. Link drained en entire bottle of milk stretched a little and then stood up straight and felt much better just as he always did after some lon-lon milk, "heidakar..we're here" link looked up at the walls of castle town and slowly walked towards the moat which surrounded them. Heidakar stopped right next to the moat and faced the gate and shouted as loud as he could, "HEYY! OPEN UP!". Link slowly walked to the side of heidakar while he still shouted trying to make himself sound loudere and louder, link slowly walked to a sign a few steps away laughing quietly as it read, 'All who wish to enter Castle Town must wait a small number of days, as the gates are in need of repair due to a Stalfos attack'. As link read the sign his laugh slowly stopped. "heidakar you may want to stop shouting and come and read the sign..." link said with a sigh "why of all times did stalfos have to attack now?...they could of chosen any day but no, it had to be today" heidakar stomped off in a strop as he wasn't going to see the place he'd been longing to see for years, and then link had an idea. he looked over the bridge which leaded to kakariko then looked at heidakar and a grin sprouted on his face. Link then ran after heidakar with the biggest grin he'd had all week "heidakar! kakariko! we can stay at kakariko until the gates are repaired!" he said excited, as it had been quite a while since link had visted this small yet humble village. "Kakariko?...i'm not so sure..." heidakar replied in an unsure voice, "i've heard death mountain is pretty loud at night while you sleep and i'd rather get some sleep link...". Link jumped up and down stil with his giant grin "oh come on! i love it there and death mountains nothing its about as loud as it is when we sleep on the field" heidakar looked up at death mountain still looking a little uneasy then he looked back at link jumpin up and down "fine, if you insist...afterall this is the happiest i've seen you in a long time" heidakar smiled as they both ran over the bridge next to castle town and entered kakariko village. As the two kokiri dressed children entered the village, a few chickens ran by followed by a girl running close behind screaming and shouting for them to come back to her. As the two adventurers continued walking they walked passed 2 strange men in identical shirts laughing between each other but they didn't matter, it was starting to turn dark at an early hour and all that mattered for the two of them was to find somewhere they could sleep. Eventually they found a house, which was not the best of ocations to sleep but they had no other choice, "link, i dont like this house its full of webs and i can barely see anything..." heidakar was clearly scared yet tried not to show it to link by putting on the most serious face he could. Link as they stood looking around the house, which he clearly knew was the house of skulltulas smiled and took out a deku stick and poked it in to the ceiling. As link poked the ceiling with the stick a huge skulltula with human limbs and also the limbs of a skulltula dropped down on a fine thread of web right in front of heidakar "WHAT THE HELL LINK?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!" he yelled at the top of his voice down links ear, link just stood laughing and began to walk further in to the dark and eery house "hahaha come on..." heidakar followed with the most terrified yet angry look on his face watchin his every step and looking around just incase any more were to fall. Heidakar, still taking his time walking through the house, noticed link was already at the other end exhausted and fast asleep 'how you always managed to do that i'll never figure out...' heidakar thought to himself. Heidakar then took one last look around lay down and slowly fell asleep. "....From the shadows....from the darkness....we summon you....bongo...bongo..." in a huge stone room lite with only a few lanterns, there stood many people in dark robes chanting over and over, "....From the shadows....from the darkness....we summon you....bongo...bongo..." in the centre of this room, a circular stone, with a woman on top giving birth to a child screaming loudly over the chanting of these robed people. Eventually the child is born and the mother holds her new born baby with the father next to her in a dark robe just like the others still chanting, and then from one side of the room two huge stone doors open and every single person freezes and looks as the light as it shines in! Heidakar screamed as he woke from his nightmare, looking around as if someone should be there and breathing rapidly as well as sweating heavily, he sat up and thought to himself 'what was that...who were them people...that place...that woman...why did i see these things?!...' heidakar sat still breathing heavily still thinking to himself wondering why, why he was seeing these horrible images. Next time in chapter 3: heidakar, after a rude awakening from his horrific nightmare, wanders kakariko with link with nothing on his mind except the nightmare he had the night before and yet when they sleep once again more images come...what does this dream mean? find out next time in chapter 3: dreams of a shadow birth |

Chapter 3: Dreams of A Shadow Birth. By: Djorn
The first chapter by me,
Chapter 3: Dreams of a Shadow Birth Heidakar screamed as he woke from his nightmare, looking around as if someone should be there and breathing rapidly as well as sweating heavily, he sat up and thought to himself 'what was that...who were those people...that place...that woman...why did i see these things?!...' heidakar sat still breathing heavily still thinking to himself wondering why, why he was seeing these horrible images. The horrible nightmare he had witnessed was fresh in his mind as he wandered Kakariko Village with an unusually optimistic Link. Heidakar had experienced these nightmares before, each time they happened a new part was revealed. It was almost as if it was a story, a cosmic joke that Heidakar was the target of. ‘Bongo Bongo…’ Heidakar thought, ‘Maybe Link knows something about that.’ “Hey Link!” Heidakar shouted toward the boy in front of him. “Yeah?” Link asked curious as to what his friend wanted to know, “Have you ever heard of something called Bongo Bongo?” A shudder ran through Link’s body as he remembered the fiercesome shadow beast, the final enemy of that horrible Shadow Temple… Link stopped moving, his body stiff, as he turned to face Heidakar. “Bongo Bongo was a monster in the Shadow Temple, the one that held Impa. It was a terrible creature, how do you know about it?” Heidakar’s brain went into overdrive as he tried to think of what to say. ‘don’t tell him, just keep it to yourself for now.’ a deep voice said to him, Heidakar looked around but saw nobody but him and Link. Still a bit shaken by the voice he said, “I read that name…in a book…somewhere. I thought you might know about it.” Link frowned, he was sure that Heidakar was keeping something from him. Link shook the thought out of his head and focused on more cheerful matters. Maybe they could go for a climb sometime today. Death Mountain was a lot more fun to climb when the fate of world didn’t rest on your shoulders. Then again, Heidakar was looking tired, maybe they should turn in. “Heidakar?” Link said, “Are you feeling tired?” “Yeah a bit.” Came the reply, the speaker’s mind somewhere else. “Okay then. How about we go to bed, maybe we can do a bit more here tomorrow.” Link said as he turned around and began walking back to the House of Skulltulas. That night, Heidakar was deep in sleep again and his nightmare was back in full bloom. “Stop those ritualists!” A heavy voice cried as a flash of silver entered the room. What happened next could only be described as massacre. The armor-clad figures bearing the Hylian Crest bolted into the room, swords swinging. One knight cracked the stone table while another ran a sword through three of the black robed people called “ritualists”. The man who was undoubtedly the baby’s father was killed quickly; it was almost as if he had no energy in his limbs. One knight, taller than the others, the one who had given the signal to attack stepped toward the mother of the newborn. He seemed unsure for a moment but then focused on his mission. He held his blade up high and swung it at the mother, the sword whistled as it chopped the mother’s head clean off. “Well I suppose that’s it for now.” One of the knights said, “We should take our leave.” “No.” the lead knight said. “His Majesty wanted all of these people dead. Foul work, to be sure, but we need to kill the child as well.” the lead knight said, pointing his blade at the baby, a drop of crimson liquid staining the youth’s forehead. “We can’t!” the outspoken knight screamed. “He’s just a child!” “It’s him or us Grayne.” The lead knight said, “Please,” Grayne said, “we can relocate him, bless him so that he may survive, we can’t take innocent life, it goes against the Hylian code. You know this better than anyone else Abron.” The lead knight, Abron, scowled, Grayne was correct. “Fine,” he spat, venom in his voice, “we’ll take the brat to the forest, he’ll be safe there, now let’s take the kid and go.” As the knights walked out, baby in tow, Abron’s scowl deepened, he would regret this choice one day, he could tell. Next time in chapter 3: Who was the baby left alive? Why did the Hylians kill those people? Why do I keep typing these questions? Find out next time in chapter 4: Puzzles of Darkness |

Chapter 4: Puzzles of Darkness. By: Djorn
Chapter 4: Puzzles of Darkness
Heidakar awoke, eyes bloodshot, screaming and sweating as if he was run through with the blades of those Hylians. ‘That was the farthest it’s ever gone, and that child…they were bringing him into the forest… I shouldn’t tell Link this, at least not yet.” Link yawned as he woke from his peaceful slumber. “Heidakar?” Link said, expecting a response, “That’s weird, I wonder where he is. He’s probably just taking a walk. I should go join him.” Heidakar after deciding whether to tell Link or not realizes that he’s no longer where he went to sleep. ‘Where is this place?’ he thought, ‘It looks almost like…oh no.’ Heidakar had a sudden epiphany as he looked around, there were two stone doors, open just enough for Heidakar to slip through, in the center of this room there was a cracked stone table, blackened with a liquid Heidakar was sure was not Lon-Lon milk. ‘This is…the place of my nightmare.’ “Heidakar! Heidakar!” Link yelled as he searched for his friend. He had been searching for him all morning. He had even climbed Death Mountain to ask the Gorons if they had seen him. ‘Where IS he?’ Link thought to himself as he continued hookshotting from roof to roof. ‘This is just like my nightmare…’ Heidakar thought, ‘that must mean that it was all real, how could I possibly know that?’ then suddenly, as if the light bulb of the heavens had been turned on over his head, everything snapped into place. ‘That baby who was sent to the forest, that was me! Which means that those people who summoned that monster…were my parents!’ The room seemed to spin as Heidakar clutched the shattered remains of the table where he was born. ‘My parents were summoning an evil beast! If Link knew this…’ Heidakar shuddered as he remembered Link’s face when Heidakar asked about Bongo Bongo, if Link knew that Heidakar was the reason it was summoned… ‘I can’t tell him, who knows what would happen. Maybe if when we get to the Temple of Time, I could take the Master Sword. If I had it then Link couldn’t hurt me, no matter how much he hated me. I could do anything I want with that sword. I could conquer the planet if I also got the Ocarina of Time. Everything could be mine! I would be ruler of everything! Nothing could stand in my way!’ ‘yes, you must go to the temple with link and take the sword, take the ocarina, and kill everything in your way. We shall rule over these ants and feast upon their souls!’ said the mysterious voice. ‘Yes, yes, you’re right.’ Heidakar thought, the voice gaining dominance, ‘We will take the sword, take the ocarina, and take the WORLD!’ “Heidakar, there you are! Link said as he stepped into the Shadow Temple to find Heidakar laughing to himself, almost maniacally. “I can’t believe I found you in here. Do you know what this place is?” “No.” Heidakar said, now out of his power craze. “It’s the Shadow Temple, one of the deadliest places in the world. We should get out of here.” Link said, Heidakar seemed not quite as surprised as Link would have expected before he gave his own reply, “You’re right, we should leave. We’ve got Castle Town to get to, as well as the Temple of Time.” “Yeah,” Link said, “well, let’s go!” Link, now full of energy, ran off. “Wait for me Link!” Heidakar yelled as he followed his friend. ‘yes, first the temple and then…the world!’ the thought said as Heidakar and Link speeded off, off towards an adventure beyond either of their imaginations. Next time, in Chapter 5: Unfolding Destinies, A Trip to Castle Town… When the gates to Castle Town are repaired, will Link and Heidakar find more than they expected? What is the voice inside Heidakar’s head? Will the postman ever stop being so annoying? Find out in Chapter 5. |

Chapter 5: Unfolding Destinies, A Trip to Castle Town part 1. By: Dark Blade
Chapter 5: Unfolding Destinies, A Trip to Castle Town part 1
“Mr. Link. Waaaiiiit!” a familiar voice cried as the postman jogged up to Link. “I have a letter from Princess Zelda. Castle Town is now open again and she wants you there now. I’m going to go have a chat with a talking owl now. I also like cake. Byyyye!” The postman then jogged away. (To all readers, the question about the postman on the end of chapter 4, the answer is no.) “Well,” Link said, “looks like we’re going to castle town early.” As the blonde haired child ran towards the great walls of castle town, his green hat almost flying off because of streams of wind flying toward, he was closely followed by his black haired companion. They had finally arrived, link and Heidakar had made it to their destination of castle town, only this time they were greeted with a bridge and a guard either side to guard it just in case another fierce group of stalfos should dare come again. The two young adventurers came to a sudden halt catching they're breath as quickly as they could and walked in to the medieval like town that was, castle town. upon entering, they were already being bombarded by homeless people, and people with nothing but false fortune to sell. But one of these people caught Heidakar’s eye, an old man slumped against a wall sat in the shade, his face and body covered by a dark robe, "heidakar we'll meet up in the centre of town later, I have some things I need to stock up on" he said as he walked towards a few stalls, "yeah..town centre..." heidakar could barely reply as he was amazed to see such a boring sight to a normal persons eye, yet in his eyes this man was and older representation of a memory. Heidakar stepped closer ever so slightly and the man looked up "you boy... 5 rupees and I can tell you anything you wish to know about yourself...past...present..even the futu-" the old man got three quarters of the way to finishing what he was going to say and Heidakar had already grabbed the man’s hand and forced 5 rupees in to it, "the past...MY past..tell it to me now old man tell it me!" Heidakar sounded terrified as he was saying these things. Worried as to what the man would say Heidakar stared, waiting for his reply, "you child...your past is cloaked...by shadows..." the man closed his eyes and stopped to catch his breath "the shadows of the ritualists who died oh so long ago..." Heidakar couldn't believe what he was hearing yet, as if he was facing the most terrifying of monsters, forced himself to question further "more old man...tell me more!" the old man rose from the floor and leant towards heidakar and whispered in his ear, with an eery smirk on his face "You child...are the host of the shadows that lay dead in the temple...". Heidakar’s face turned pale by hearing these words, his facial expression blank and his body stiff as if he was held in one place never to be moved. "Hey! Heidakar!" link had finished buying what he needed and was heading towards Heidakar’s way. 'I'm...the host?...what does he mean?...' Heidakar’s thoughts going wild in his head, 'You know exactly what he means...' the voice had returned yet again 'I do?...' he replied in his head 'it will all come together...soon...soon...'. "Come on I finished buying what I needed early and I spoke to Zelda while I was gone" link said while taking a huge bite in to an apple. Heidakar turned around with haste "What?! You spoke to Zelda?!" his voice full of shock "yes..." link replied and continued eating "it’s not too hard to sneak in to the castle..." he threw away his apple after taking his final bite, "Now come on she’s meeting us at the temple of time". Next time in Chapter 6: Unfolding Destinies, A Trip to Castle Town part 2... who exactly was this 'fortune teller'? and what did he mean by host? will heidakar find out what this voice really is? and just how does link keep managing to sneak in to the castle? find out next time! |

Chapter 6: Unfolding Destinies, A Trip to Castle Town part 2. By: Djorn
Chapter 6: Unfolding Destinies, A Trip to Castle Town part 2
‘The Temple of Time…’ Heidakar thought as he walked behind his apple-eating friend ‘The Master Sword is there.’ “We’re here!” Link said as he abruptly stopped. Heidakar looked up and gasped, the temple was different than what Link had described, the doors gleamed gold, the insignia of the royal family polished, the upside-down triangle of the Triforce was pitch black. “Yeah it looks different huh?” Link asked, “They did some remodeling and stuff. I wonder why they made that triangle black though. Oh well, come on, Zelda’s waiting for us.” The pair of boys stepped into the temple and walked forward, as they came in Link noticed that the spiritual stones, the Kokiri Emerald, the Goron’s Ruby, and the Zora’s Sapphire, were all missing from their places. The door to the temple however, still stood open. ‘Weird’ Link thought as they stepped into the room that held the Blade of Evil’s Bane. Zelda stood by the pedestal, a frantic look on her face, “It’s about time you got here, look at the Master Sword!” Link nonchalantly walked over to the pedestal, “What, I don’t see anything here and Ohmygodwhattheheckisthat?” Link’s cheerful expression was gone. “Heidakar, take a look at this.” Link said in a solemn voice. Heidakar walked over to the pedestal and gasped. The Master Sword stood where it always had but opposite it, facing back-to-back with it, was a new sword. In place of the blue metal that made up the hilt, this sword’s hilt was made of a polished blood red shade of metal. The jewel was pitch-black; the pommel looked suspiciously like an open eye. The blade looked…alive. “What is this?” Link asked, “We don’t know,” said Zelda, I just came here one day and the stones were gone and this sword was here. I’ve been looking for information about it but I can’t find anything. I think the Hero of Time needs to rise again.” Link sighed, he knew this was coming, “Fine, I’ll take the Master Sword out, see you in seven years.” Link placed his hands on the hilt and pulled the blade from its resting place, there was a flash of light and then Link was gone. The only thing left where Link stood was the red blade. Heidakar walked back to the castle with Zelda, “He’ll be gone for seven Years,” Zelda explained, “so we’ll need to get you a room in the castle. Grayne!” Zelda called. A man hurried forward bearing the Hylian crest, “Yes Princess?” he asked, “Do we have any available rooms for Heidakar here? He’s a friend of Link’s.” Grayne looked at Heidakar’s forehead for a moment and frowned but quickly regained his composure, “Yes, we do, second room on the third floor. I must be going now.” “Of course Grayne. Thanks for the help.” “My pleasure Princess.” Grayne said as he hurried off. ‘That boy,’ he thought, ‘on his forehead, could that have been…no, it’s not possible.’ Heidakar touched the mark on his forehead, the symbol of the Shadow Temple. Only recently had he learned that it was cause by his mother’s blood falling from a sword. How odd that the blood formed that particular symbol. Heidakar woke in the midst of the night, one of his eyes shining brighter than the other as he stepped out of his room and walked towards the royal family’s room. As Heidakar silently opened the door and crept in, he drew his knife and advanced toward the sleeping princess. He raised his knife about to strike when he truly woke up. ‘Why am I in the royal family’s room…and…WHY AM I HOLDING A KNIFE?!’ He thought as he ran out of the room, back into his lodgings, ‘drat, you woke up. I was hoping to kill that meddlesome princess but of course you ruined it. Tell you what, why don’t you go to the temple of time and take that second blade out?’ ‘What? Why?” Heidakar thought back, ‘let’s face it, you want to be the hero as well and that blade looks like a clone of the master sword, you get the sword, you become a hero.’ Heidakar decided that the voice made sense so he crept toward the temple. As he walked towards the pedestal of the blade, the eye of the pommel seemed to blink, as if it knew what was about to happen. Heidakar held his breath, grasped the sword, and pulled it out. There was a flash of black, and Heidakar was gone. A wave of energy emanated from the temple and gave everyone in the town a terrible nightmare, a black haired boy, one eye glinting, killing everything in his path. Next time in Chapter 7: Two Blades, One Hero... What was that second blade? Who is that voice inside Heidakar’s head? What was that nightmare everyone had? Where’s that chocolate cake I ordered half an hour ago? Prepare to find out the answers to all of these questions, and more. (except the one about my cake) |

Chapter 7: Two Blades, One Hero. By: Djorn
Chapter 7: Two Blades, One Hero
A white light filled the room were the legendary blade of evils bane, and its darker look-alike, once were and then slowly began to fade as an adult in a green tunic emerged from what could only be described as some sort of rip in the atmosphere itself. As link stood with the Master sword in one hand, and a hylian shield in the other, the rip presumably linking the sacred realm and the normal world sealed itself with a quick inhaling breath like noise. link stretched for quite a while, seeing as how he had been sealed away for a long seven years, and then took his first step once again as the adult he once was and continued toward the doors of the temple he entered as a child. Yet before he could even manage to make it past the stone bed on which the three stones of the elements lay zelda, holding her skirt while doing so, ran in to the temple with a worried look upon her face. "zelda! come to greet me I can imagine?" link said in a playful tone of voice, zelda stopped and didn't give herself time to catch her own breath "link! thank the gods you've finally arrived!..." she said, her face still full of worry "the day you left...heidakar disappeared that night...and the second blade..its gone!" links eyes widened, his face showing a small portion of anger, "what?!" link turned and ran back to the pedestal from which he emerged to see what zelda was tellin him was the truth. "How could he do this? we don't even know what power, or even where, that blade came from!" link said still in anger yet with a small amount of confusion in his voice. "I've got to find him!" link turned again toward the doors of the temple only this time was running "Wait link stop!" as zelda shouted this link came to a sudden halt and faced zelda "what, what is it? I need to go find heidakar!" while giving what her thoughts were on situation zelda slowly began walking towards link, "well lets think about this for a moment...that other blade we saw seven years ago...it was as if it was a replica of the master sword itself..." she stopped a few steps away from link, "also if we take in to consideration heidakar is gone, and no-one has seen him for seven years now not one person, and I've had my fathers soldiers searching this entire land and not even someone who looks remotely like him was found..." "Yes..? and the point being..?" link said in an angry and almost sarcastic tone, "well what if that blade, the one you do not wield, has the exact same effect as the master sword...what if heidakar is sealed away for seven years also? that would mean instead of being somewhere in the land of hyrule" zelda paused to take a short breath, "he would be here just like you...all we have to do is wait a little while longer...". Link thought for a moment 'but what if shes wrong?...what if heidakars out there somewhere held capture by some beast?...but then again...what if shes right...' link walked towards one of the walls of the temple and sat down, "well if that blade does possess the same power as the master sword.." link said as he put his blade in his sheath "then I'd like to see rather than not take your thoughts in to consideration at all...so for now...we wait i supose". Zelda smiled and was happy link acknowledged her idea and also sat down. While the two waited, not knowing their theory on where heidakar had gone was correct, zelda was explaining every single detail to link about everything he had missed over the past seven years afterall it was the least she could do since last time he missed almost everything and returned to a darkened land controlled by a powerful foe. Many hours later and without warning, while zelda was explaining how the manysoldiers had been lost during the search for heidakar, once again a flash of black emitted from the room in which the pedestal sat without its blades and then returned back to its normal glow of light. Link immediately jumped to his feet and ran through to the next room to find heidakar, seven years older stood right before him, with a blank look on his face and the second blade in his hand as well as a hylian shield in the other. He looked to see link stood in front of him, who was not looking best impressed at this moment in time, as his blank expression slowly turne to an innocent smile link only looked even more un-impressed. Next time in Chapter 8: The Return Of Heidakar... So finally heidakar had returned, but still what was this blade he was wielding? and does he actually know how many lives were lost in the search for his own life? what will become of links not happy look? find out next time.... |

Chapter 8: The Return of Heidakar. By: Djorn
Chapter 8: The Return of Heidakar
When Heidakar came back Link was seething with rage. Once he noticed that Link wasn’t looking happy he began to panic, “H-hey Link,” he stuttered, “how’s it going?” Link’s response was a punch in the gut (don’t worry it wasn’t that hard) “Come on Link!” Heidakar said through clenched teeth, “I just thought that having two heroes would make it better to fight whatever evil is coming.” ‘Well aren’t you a devious little liar’ the voice in his head said, ‘I have to say’ said a new voice, ‘you really might be fitting to be my vessel.’ Heidakar was shocked; he had never heard that voice before, it sounded ancient, evil, and powerful. “I can’t believe you took that sword! We have no idea what it is! Do you have any idea how many search parties Zelda sent out? People have DIED because of you!” “Link calm down.” Zelda said, “Fine. Well anyway,” Link said in a thoroughly annoyed voice, “We’d better see the sages; they’ll know what to do.” “Why can’t we see the goddesses?” Heidakar asked, “You can’t just go see them. They’re goddesses, what are you saying, we go into the heavens? No, it’ll be easier if we go to the sages.” Link and Heidakar couldn’t figure out how to get back to the sages so they went to the forest temple and took the portal from there. They entered the strange fountain-like hall with the sages standing on their podiums, Zelda included. ‘How de she get there so fast?’ Link wondered, ‘Ah well we have more pressing matters, like Heidakar’s sword’ “Rauru,” Link said, “my friend here took this sword-” “Link, the Spirit Medallion has been stolen!” Rauru before Link could finish his sentence, “You’re kidding me.” Link said. “Well, I have something that’s really important too, you see-” Nabooru spoke up before Link could finish, “Link the coming shadows stole my medallion, we need to find it otherwise we won’t be able to combine our powers, or our knowledge, to help you.” “Fine.” Link said, “Come on Heidakar, you wanted to help after all.” After traveling across Hyrule and searching the bowels of every temple the duo had found…nothing. “I don’t get this.” Link said, five days after their one-sided talk with the sages, “We’ve searched everywhere. Every corner of the forest temple, the fire temple, the water temple, the spirit temple, even the shadow temple, and while we have a lot of rupees now, we still don’t have that medallion. Where could it be?” “Well, we must have missed somewhere, we’ll check in the morning, it’s late, we better get to bed.” Heidakar said as he laid down in their room in the castle. As he sat down, a small coin fell out of Heidakar’s pocket, a familiar symbol etched into it. Link looked at it suspiciously then bent down to pick it up. At his touch, the coin grew larger until it was apparent what it was. The Spirit Medallion. “Heidakar, how did you get this?” Link asked, looking very annoyed, “I don’t know,” Heidakar said, “I didn’t even think anything was in my pocket. I never even got near the sages.” “We’ll talk about this in the morning.” Link said as he got into his bed. Heidakar decided to sleep as well. Heidakar awoke again, at midnight, one eye glinting as he edged toward Link. ‘excellent, now to kill that pesky hero.’ He said, ‘yes,’ Heidakar’s new voice said, ‘we shall kill him now!’ Heidakar suddenly awoke to find himself with his sword over Link’s neck. ‘Kill him, I command you!’ ‘Who are you?” Heidakar thought, ‘I am the blade of darkness, the sword you now wield, the evil opposite of the master sword, and you, shadow child, are my vessel. Now, kill the boy!’ ‘No!' Heidakar thought, ‘He’s my best friend!’ ‘If you disobey me then you will be sealed!’ The blade said as Heidakar felt his soul slide out of his body, as if every part of him was slowly turned liquid then poured into a new container, 'Heidakar..' said that orignal familiar voice, 'I must thank you for giving me control of our body, the blade of darkness and I have killing to do and power to steal. Have fun locked inside the blade you took! Bwahahahaha!’ The first voice said as Heidakar, against his will, leapt out of the castle. ‘Our body?’ Heidakar thought in his last moments of control, ‘yes Heidakar, I am the culmination of the shadow energy sealed in you at your birth. I suppose you could say that I am your dark half. Oh, don’t worry about your friend, we’ll kill him last.’ When Link awoke, he found a note waiting for him, Dear Fool, The Blade of Darkness and I have control of your friend’s body. We’ll be back to kill you later but first, we have power to gain from an old friend of yours. I’m sure your precious Zelda can tell you what’s happened. Yours Hatefully, Dark Heidakar Link’s hands were shaking with rage as he put the note down. ‘I’m,’ he thought, ‘going to see Zelda.’ “ZELDA!” Link yelled as he stepped into the throne room, “I JUST GOT THIS NOTE SO TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!” Zelda took the note from Link’s hand and her eyes slid out of focus for a moment. There was a pause before she spoke up, “Link, while you were gone for seven years, I did some research on the other sword, more than I told you. It’s called the Blade of Darkness; it was created when you took the Master Sword out originally. It’s the evil opposite to the Master Sword and it’s apparently corrupted Heidakar. Also, about Heidakar…you remember the shadow monster Bongo Bongo? Well that was just the tip of the iceberg. All the remaining shadow energy was sealed inside Heidakar the moment he was born. That energy is the Dark Heidakar that now has control of him. It was his destiny to become the wielder of the Blade of Darkness just as it was your destiny to wield the Master Sword. Also, the Blade of Darkness can seal the power of its victims inside it. Not only did he do that to Heidakar but I’m guessing that he’s planning to get more power before he takes you on.” “Zelda…” Link said, “I’ve been wondering something for a long time and now I know it’s true. Technically, on June 11th, two weeks ago, I beat Ganondorf. However, I was still in the Sacred Realm on June 11th. So, if two weeks ago I didn’t beat Ganon, how is he still sealed? Also, how did beating him in the future stop him in the past when I went back to relive my childhood? I think that by going forward in time again, I messed with the space-time continuum, and that means that if I never beat Ganondorf…” Zelda gasped, she realized what he was saying, “You mean that Ganondorf is still alive?!” Yes,” Link said, a somber expression on his face, “and I’m thinking that he might be at the top of Dark Heidakar’s hit list.” Next time in Chapter 9: Darkness vs Shadow: War of Evil... Heidakar is gone, his soul sealed inside the pommel of the Blade of Darkness. How will Link cope with the betrayal of his friend? Will Ganondorf lose to Heidakar? How will Link win? Find out in Chapter 9. Also, there’s an awesome evil battle. |

Chapter 9: Darkness vs Shadow: The War of Evil. By: Djorn
Chapter 9: Darkness vs Shadow: The War of Evil
Ganondorf stood up and looked around. His castle was destroyed, his energy depleted, and he could sense an evil force coming near. Everything was going perfectly. ‘Now for my grand reappearance,” he thought, ‘I’ll start with a puppet show.’ Dark Heidakar walked forward, his shadow symbol etched in black on his forehead as he neared Ganondorf’s castle. He smiled; this would be a fun battle. “Well, well, who might you be?” Ganondorf said as he saw Dark Heidakar approach. “I am Heidakar” he said, his voice like a knife across stone, “I wield the blade of darkness and I am here for your power.” “I thought so, the Blade of Darkness, I heard stories about it as a child. I’ll kill you, and then take your sword and Link will fall before me.” “Oh, link will fall but I will be the one that kills him, which I will do once you are dead!” Dark Heidakar said as he lunged at Ganondorf, the Blade of Darkness tearing through his flesh and stopping after it had come out his back. “that was the strength of the great Ganondorf? Such a pity.” The pommel-eye of the Blade of Darkness began to glow, ready to absorb Ganondorf’s soul, when a black burst of energy hit Dark Heidakar square in the back. Dark Heidakar turned around, his mind taking everything in and realizing what had happened. Ganondorf had made a fake. A decoy to distract him. Dark Heidakar sensed Ganondorf’s energy above him as the bearer of the Triforce of Power unsheathed his blade and stabbed Dark Heidakar in the shoulder. Dark Heidakar predicted his move an instant before it happened and a sphere of black energy surrounded him, designed to block the blade. Ganondorf’s sword cut through it like butter. “blade of darkness? How did my shield fail?” “that sword,” the blade said, “it reminds me of my twin.” The blade barely had time to finish his sentence before Ganondorf’s sword smashed against it, “it burns! It burns like the master sword. I’m sorry shadow child but I cannot help you as long as he has that sword.” “Good to know that it works.” Ganondorf chuckled as he swung again and again, with every swing a scream erupted from the Blade of Darkness. “I planned for this you know. I knew that one day; Link would come forward in time again and unseal me. I knew that the evil he planned to battle would find me. I knew it all so when I captured Zelda, I stole a small amount of her Triforce and used it to help me make this sword. It’s identical to the Master Sword only it doesn’t need all of that “chosen one” crap. I’ve already neutralized your sword so now I just need to take…you…down!” With every word Ganondorf swung again, a gleeful expression in his eyes. “Soon all the power in the world will be mine!” he said. “I wouldn’t be so sure” Dark Heidakar said as the atmosphere in the rubble of the castle changed, becoming darker and heavier. Dark Heidakar began to glow with a black aura and the mark on his forehead began to seemingly rotate, “You’re building up for a finishing move?” Ganondorf asked, looking amused, “Well then I’ll just finish you off!” Ganondorf said as he leapt into the air and brought his blade down on Dark Heidakar’s skull. Ganondorf looked at the dying boy’s body. It seemed that his shadow energy was healing him, saving him. ‘Well then,’ he thought, ‘I’ll just take your sword now.’ As Ganondorf bent down to pick up the blade, the pommel glowed and Ganondorf was blasted back. ‘So… it looks like that blade has a chosen one as well. I’ll just need to put it out of commission for a while then.’ He thought as he brought up the Master Sword replica, and brought it down on the pommel of the Blade of Darkness, destroying it. It would mend itself but it wouldn’t be fit for a battle any time soon. Ganondorf smirked as he walked away. When Dark Heidakar woke up his weaker half would be back in control. Next time in Chapter 10: The Search Begins; A Lost Friend... Ganondorf may have won this time, but will Heidakar win next time around? Will Link lose to Ganondorf? Will Ganondorf gain the last piece of the Triforce? Will Heidakar join the side of good again? We haven’t exactly decided yet so read chapter 10. |

Chapter 10: The Search Begins; A Lost Friend... By: Dark Blade
Chapter 10: The Search Begins; A Lost Friend...
Laying there, completely unconscious, heidakars perspective on reality was now a neverending darkness in which he stood in with a person only a few metres ahead of him. As heidakar looked around trying scared and trying to figure out where he had been taken to he slowly made his way towards the figure that stood still with only nothing to see but the back of him, "you there! can you tell me where I am and also who you are?" heidakar asked hoping for a reply yet not wishing to ask the question in the first place. "...This..is where I was born..." the figure replied softly in the exact same voice as heidakar "you came from a womb...while I..I..was born here in darkest parts of your mind..." heidakar began trembling realising who this figure was, "its you isn't it?...the one who took my body..the one who tried to kill zelda...who tried to kill link..." as the figure turned round it was clear now, this was heidakars darker self. Still trembling with fear heidakar began slowly walking backwards away from his inner demon, his darker self, as he saw the face of his darker body he looked into his eyes both white and the mark on his forehead glowing an unforgetable dark shade of violet. As an evil smile slided across dark heidakars face he began to follow heidakar walking towards him "theres no escaping me...your in my world now..." he said in a voice that was becoming more and more terrifying with each word "stop.." heidakars body immediately froze, he looked down at his feet in terror wondering what was going on and then looked back up to find himself face to face with his demon, "ha...ha..ha...like i said...your in my world now and whatever I wish becomes reality here..." dark heidakar laughed loudly in heidakars face and began to pace around him in a circle slowly like a predator circling its prey ready to pounce "oh how pathetic you are...I can't WAIT to get you back in that blade" he now said becoming furious "once you're in that blade my skin won't have to crawl at the sight of you anymore and i will rule this body...and eventually the entire world once link is out the picture" heidakar collapsed to his knees and tears began rolling down his face "SOMEONE HELP ME!" he screeched grabbing his head, dark heidakar drowned out his screams with laughter as he disappeared in to the darkness they both stood in, heidakar left on his own crying himself closer and closer to the floor. Meanwhile, in plain reality, link had gone to retrieve his horse from lon-lon ranch payed talon 100 rupees for looking after epona and left for the gerudo fortress in hope ganon was there and was not residing at the castle he remembered from last time they fought. While crossing the bridge over gerudo valley, the sounds of eponas hooves clapping through his ears, he couldnt help but think how heidakar would do such a thing 'the blade didn't seal him inside it straight away so why all of a sudden now is he only beginning to be like this...guess I'll find out when i find him i supose...'. Link had reached the gerudos fortress, and pulled out of his satchel he had on his back, his membership card so he didnt get thrown in prison on sight and as he had just done this a gerudo soldier was on duty just near the entrance and had spotted him coincidently. "You there! off your horse now!" the woman grunted as she held a spear facing toward link. Link put both his arms up in the air and then stretched his right arm out toward the woman to show her his membership card as a gerudo citizen, "I do apologise sir...what is your business here at gerudo fortress?" the woman asked politely as she put her spear to her side again, "I'm here to ask anyone if ganondorf is here or if not at this location where he might be" the gerudo lady sighed and gave link a short answer under her breath "ganondorf no longer plagues these deserts...hes at his castle known as 'Ganons Castle'..." links face was shocked to hear this and then returned to normal "thank you, thats all I needed to know" as link climbed back on epona and turned round he thought 'so heidakar will most likely be there too...I must hurry' "YAH!" link gave epona a kick and off she rode faster than any horse in the land could ride. As link passed through the gates of castle town he looked around to see the destruction ganon had left in his path after leaving heidakar unconscious in the ruins of his old castle. He walked toward where the castle should of stood and saw heidakar layed on the floor passed out, he ran toward him and lifted his head up "heidakar! wake up!...heidakar!" as heidakar came to he slowly took a look around and saw link above him shaking him awake and then glanced to his left to see the blade he tried to defeat ganondorf with the eye now in tact on the blade staring right back at him. He rised to his feet holding his head and had a sudden image flash through his head of when ganondorf had driven his blade through his skull and walked toward the blade and retrieved it 'so...it seems my host has finally awakened...' the blade said in his mind as he touched its handle 'and now once again your soul shall be sealed and your darkness shall be free...' the feeling of his soul slipping back in to the blade returned as he closed his eyes tight clenching the blade as if in pain "heidakar what is wrong with you?..get rid of that blade!..." link demanded. "what...this?..." heidakar said with a smirk as he held up the blade of darkness "..I think not..." link became filled with rage and drew his sword, as they both turned round when they heard heavy footsteps from behind them "...somehow...just somehow...I knew leaving that boy here would bring you to me oh 'hero of time'..."ganondorf said with a sinister look on his face as he had returned to finish what he started. Next time in Chapter 11: Deadlock- Chaos Awakening.... What will become of this battle that has begun between these three warriors? will Heidakar overcome the evil within him? and what power does Dark Heidakar truly possess? find out next time.... |

Chapter 11: Deadlock: Chaos Awakening “Ganondorf!” Link cried as he turned around, the blade of evil’s bane in his hand. “So I was right, you are still alive.” “Yes,” the smirking foe said, “I am thanks to your little time paradox. I already defeated your friend once and now I’ll kill both of you. The Triforce will be mine and nothing will be able to stop me!” “I think not.” Dark Heidakar said, “We shall fight, but not here. I was thinking the hyrule castle colosseum.” Dark Heidakar snapped his fingers and there was a rushing sound, wind blasted through everyone, and when everything went still, they were somewhere else. “Incredible isn’t it? All this power I have, imagine what it will be like with the triforces of power and courage.” Dark Heidakar said, an exuberant grin on his face, “Heidakar,” Link said, “I know you’re in there, I can’t hurt you.” “Oh but I can hurt you!” Dark Heidakar said as he lunged toward the Hero of Time. “Not so fast,” Ganondorf said, blocking Dark Heidakar’s stroke, “my rival, my kill.” “Fool, you can’t defeat me!” Dark Heidakar said, his forehead beginning to glow. Ganondorf jumped into the air, ready to crush Dark Heidakar’s skull, when Link met Ganondorf midair, “You idiot? What are you doing? That brat is a danger to us all!” Ganondorf said, realizing that he was no longer in control, “I won’t let you kill my friend.” Link said, stone faced, as he pushed Ganondorf back with a burst of white light. “Thanks for stopping the meddler link, now it’s time for your funeral!” Dark Heidakar said as he held the Blade of Darkness and charged at an unprotected Link. “STOP!” an elderly voice said as a black robed figure jumped down and caught the Blade of Darkness between his hands. One could hear his bones giving way by the stress of holding the blade. Link stared, wide eyed, “You’re the fortune teller from Castle Town.” He said “Yes,” the old man said, “I also was a ritualist of the Shadow Temple, one of the few who were not present at the birth of the Shadow Child. I cannot allow you to die Link; you are the light we must all follow.” “Quiet old man, Link is my kill!” Ganondorf said, stabbing the former ritualist through the neck. “Too easy.” Ganondorf said as he drew his blade out of the man’s body and watched him crumple in a motionless heap. “I sacrifice my soul…Guardian of Shade…unseal the boy…so that the light may rise…” The ritualist said with his last breath “ excellent!” Dark Heidakar screamed, “thanks to the old man My power shall be released at long last! I shall give you…the greatest nightmare!!!” Dark Heidakar yelled as the mark on his head started to spin. Link realized that the real Heidakar was nowhere in that body and did not stop Ganondorf from lunging at the glowing boy, Ganondorf swung his sword up, ready to crush every fiber of Dark Heidakar’s being when everything stopped. Link froze in place, Ganondorf’s muscles felt like ice, the only moving thing was the growling Dark Heidakar, “from the darkness!” he yelled, “I summon you, the guardian of shade! Unseal my power to crush these fools like the ants they are!” As Dark Heidakar finished his sentence, a silhouette of a monster began to appear. Two huge hands, a large eye, it was the guardian of shade himself. Bongo Bongo. The shadow beast brought his hands down and seemingly crushed Dark Heidakar. Link, able to move again, gasped in horror. The apparition of Bongo Bongo disappeared and Dark Heidakar was seen, looking as deadly and strong as ever, the mark on his forehead gone. He sent a barrage of black orbs Link’s way, each one doing enough damage to him to kill a normal human, Link, not being normal, merely fell to his knees bleeding in a thousand places. Dark Heidakar disappeared only to reappear behind Ganondorf, the Blade of Darkness up against his neck. “So,” Ganondorf said, sounding far more confident than he was, “That mark on your head was a seal, and by summoning that beast, you have released your full power. I guess that means we’re going all out!” Ganondorf yelled as he began to change. A wave of pure power blasted Dark Heidakar into the walls of the colosseum. Ganondorf’s skeletal structure was no longer human, instead it was a melding of many animals’, he grew tusks and grew in size, and two golden swords glittered in his hands as his left hand glowed with the Triforce of Power. Beast Ganon had joined the fight. Link could only stand in awe as reality itself was torn apart by the conflicting powers. One moment, Dark Heidakar was lunging at Ganon, then there was a swirl where they stood as they faded from sight, almost like space was warping, and then they reappeared only Ganon stood about to gore Dark Heidakar. Link saw many hits, Dark Heidakar cut off one of Ganon’s tusks, Ganon cut off Dark Heidakar’s right arm, it didn’t seem that any physical damage had any effect because the two kept regenerating themselves. Ganon’s tusk grew back as he charged at Dark Heidakar, Dark Heidakar‘s arm grew back as he took up the shield held by his previously dismembered limb and pressed onward. It would be impossible to keep track of everything but it looked like Ganon was beginning to slow down in power and speed. Dark Heidakar smirked as he saw Ganon miss his mark in an attempt to take Dark Heidakar’s head off. Dark Heidakar lunged at Ganon but the beast was too slow to block it. The Blade of Darkness’s eye seemed to twist itself into what it would look like if the rest of a face was smiling evilly. The eye began to glow and Ganon was blasted backwards, far away towards the Zora’s Domain. As he landed painfully, his Master Sword replica embedded itself in the stone an inch from his neck. “It’s too bad I didn’t get to absorb his power.” Dark Heidakar said, panting heavily, “But it doesn’t matter, I’ll get him and you next time. that fight was far too tiring for my taste. Oh well, at least my power is awakened. I’ll see you around ‘friend’.” Dark Heidakar chuckled as he disappeared in a flash of black. Link looked at himself; there were cuts all over him and huge holes revealing his flesh. No doubt the results of Dark Heidakar’s attack and his midair sword fight with Ganondorf. ‘How can I win this battle?’ he thought, and then everything went black. Next time in Chapter 12: Mysterious saviour, Chain of the gorons It looks like Link is way out of his league in this adventure. Will Ganondorf return to the story? What other powers does Dark Heidakar have? Will Link even survive the repercussions of this battle? Find out in Chapter 12. |
