The Legend of Zelda: Curse of the Triforce (T)

I've been working on this for some time now. It takes place at an unspecified time. Could be anytime at all really I guess, maybe an alternate time line or something, I don't know. So far I just have the first chapter done.

The Legend of Zelda: Curse of the Triforce

Chapter 1: The Beginning of the Adventure

Princess Zelda looked out her castle’s balcony, and at the kingdom beyond. Hyrule Town was visible as dawn slowly came up upon it, and the princess of Hyrule looked out upon the town. It was indeed a beautiful dawn, and she thought so as she sighed. Hyrule was a beautiful kingdom, but it had its own share of a horrible history at the hands of Ganon throughout the centuries. However, it had been many years since he attacked; and as such Hyrule had advanced. Already steam power was being developed in some areas, and soon Hyrule Town would be able to contact the rest of Hyrule much faster. It was then, that the door to the room the balcony was connected to burst open, and Zelda turned around in shock. Outside the door stood a man wearing a black cape, his ears were not pointy, but appeared to have been cut off at the point that they go into a point begins. He had red hair, and was smiling. “Wh-who are you??” Zelda asked, shocked that the single man was able to do what he had done; get to her room and break down the door. Logically her guards should have got him for it; but they hadn’t.

“That’s a good question,” the man asked, looking at his black arm plate. “I am the one they call Kira, but you probably haven’t heard of me,” he said, as he smiled again, looking up at the princess.

“No, I haven’t… What do you want?” she asked, trying to think of something. She couldn’t run, she knew that; she could fight… But did she need to? And more importantly, would she be able to?

“The Triforce of Wisdom,” Kira said, smiling, and instantly Zelda’s eyes widened.

“I’ll never give it to you,” Zelda said, getting a fighting pose ready. She wasn’t exactly the best at fighting, but she could if needed.

“I think you will,” Kira said, as he stepped onto the balcony, and grabbed her right arm, and suddenly the symbol of the Triforce glowed on her hand, and he put his other hand over her arm by inches, and a golden light glowed and seemed to be pulled of here arm, as the symbol slowly vanished… And the Triforce appeared in Kira’s hands.

“Wha-,” Zelda said in shock, as he pinched her shoulder, and she fell to the floor like a dead body, and Kira grinned.

“Not this time, Princess,” Kira said, as he left. “Next time you won’t live,” he said, laughing as he walked out of the door…

In normally peaceful, quite forest a boy with a green tunic and hat over his blonde hair and pointy ears ran, behind him a sinister looking man with black hair and a black cape chased him, holding a sword that sent the boy running for his life. “COME BACK HERE YOU!” the man yelled, chasing after the boy. He wore a black thing of mesh as well, making him look like a bad excuse for a knight.

The boy said nothing, as he was scared out of his wits as he ran, breathing heavily as he ran in fear, and turned into another path, hoping he would lose the man chasing him. “AHH!” the boy yelled, as he slipped, and fell onto the ground, the man with the sword finally walking up to him.

“Well, well, well, Link, looks like you’ve finally come to your last day with the Triforce,” the man said, smiling as he laughed. “Not that you knew you had it anyways, did you?” he asked, grabbing the left hand of Link, and putting his left hand over it, and Link yelled, twisting and turning, trying to break out. He kicked at the man as a goldish-stream started to come from the now-visible symbol of the Triforce, and the man let go in recoil. “Why you little,” the man said, grabbing Link’s leg and causing Link to fall again, and sat on Link’s leg, twisting the arm back to where it was.

“AHH!!!” Link yelled, struggiling to get free, but to no avail. He was stuck, and the man was taking what he wanted as the golden stream slowly died, and the symbol of the Triforce vanished.

“I’d say thanks, but it’d be overstaying my welcome,” the man said, laughing as he got up, and began to walk away, and whistled with his two fingers in his mouth.

Link was standing up, anger in him at how the man had just took something he knew nothing of other than that he had to protect it, and grabbed a stick from the ground, and begun to swing it down at the man, who turned around, and grabbed it. “Ah-ah-ah,” the man said, snapping it without an effort. “Now, if you excuse me, I have matters to attend to,” he said, as a black horse galloped by, him jumping on it, and riding it off and away from Link, who was running after him, before falling forward from exhaustion.

“Ohh,” he groaned in pain, as he looked up, and soon his eyelids closed, his mind too blurred to see any more…

“Link,” a voice called from seemingly nowhere, as Link looked around. There was no light, just darkness. “Link, wake up!” the voice called, as he pictured himself running, trees around him, he carrying a sword and shield, fighting off monsters. “LINK!” a voice yelled, and his eyes jolted open, to see an old man standing above him. The man had a beard, and a face much like the boy’s… Pointy ears as well. “Link, are you alright?” the man asked, standing over him.

Link sat up, and instantly he felt a pain in his arm, and fell back as he let his support in that arm go. “Just as a feared… Well, boy, get up!” the old man said, as he helped Link get up, and Link tried to move his arm… It felt broken, but he could move it. “You fractured your arm probably, Link, we’ll get you to the house and try to fix you up,” the man said, as Link and him walked towards a house made of wood, just like some of the other houses there.

“A man, he took the whatever it was from my arm,” Link said, as he tried to explain what had happened, and the old man nodded.

“You mean that the Triforce was stolen from you?” the old man asked, and Link nodded. “That is not good… Not good at all,” the man said as they walked into the hut, and Link sat on a table, and the man started to look at his arm. “It appears to be fractured or sprained, we’ll have to wrap it,” the man said, as he grabbed some cloth and began to wrap it around the arm. He had the strange gift of being able to tell what injuries were like, no matter how hard it seemed to tell.

“But what about the man who stole the Triforce?” Link asked, confused. He couldn’t do anything with an arm in a cast.

“We’ll hopefully get you something to fix that arm up soon, and then you can do something about it, but not now,” the old man said, and bowed his head. “I knew one day you’d have to go on a journey,” he said to himself, before he started to wrap Link’s arm. “You’ll find friends who will help you along the way, I’m sure, but be careful all the same,” he said, as he ripped the cloth after tying it around Link’s arm.

“So I have to wait till it gets fixed?” Link asked in disappointment; he wanted to get that man now; not wait a week or two.

“Yes, Link,” the man said. “You aren’t going to do that without my permission, you hear?” the man asked, and Link nodded in disappointment. “Now I have to go tell your mother; she won’t be happy about this,” he said, as he walked out of the door, and Link stood up.

“Hmpf,” he said to himself in disappointment as he walked towards a window and looked outside…
