[ZGen] My Interviews with the Mario Characters

Yes, I have come back from the dead to bring you the sequel to "My Interviews with the Zelda characters". I am not sure if I did the Mario characters, but I feel it is time to explore the Mushroom Kingdom.

For those who are new: I did the "My Interviews with the Zelda Characters" in script-format, but it went slightly off track. Here, the newer and better sequel.

Chapter One: The Awakening
My head and body pounded like someone had repeatly beat it with a megaton hammer. Everything was dark. Groaning in pain, I open my aching eyes to discover that I am in a small room with bookcases and a table. Everything is a blur, so I can't make out anything clearly.
"Link, I think he's waking up finally!" a shrill voice peirced the silence. I grimace in pain at the noise. I looked to my left to see the blurred image of a tall man in a green tunic with a floating light sitting on the blue bed next to me.
"Link the Zora? You okay?" the man, Link asked gently. He rose up and I felt a bottle pressed in my hand. "Drink some red potion."

As I sipped it, I hear a door slamming open and a laughter. Before I know it, a young boy throws himself onto my bed.
As the pain subsided from the potion and my vision cleared, I began to see MtRF sitting directly in front of me with the most cheesiest grin on his face. I figured that if I were Ruto, he'd be on me.
"Matty" I said. "Where am I?"
"You are in Mario's home, dude!" Matty replied.

My heart skipped a beat. Mario's house?! I suddenly throw over the sheet, but before I could get off, Link pressed down on my shoulders, forcing me onto the pillows.
"What happened, Link!? Last thing I remembered was that we-"
"We were on Eldin Bridge, yes." Link nodded before I could finish my sentence. "You were attacked by a Bokoblin and fell off. It took us days to find you."
"Weeks, actually. Turns out there's a torrental river way down below, so we basically had to do a very long, annoying sidequest to get the supplies to get down there." MtRF explained. As he talked about the quest, my mind slowly began to peice together what I was doing. I was Link the Zora, the interviewer of Hyrule's populance. I was hired by Tingle to do the duties of interviewing, although he had never really covered his main objective. With the dissaperance of Renaldo and that stupid arena thing set up by Tingle and Malo...ugh...I just didn't really understand it at all.
"Then when we found you, you were in a Tingle outfit with the words "I SUCK" written on the front." Link was saying. "You were baking in the beaches of the Mushroom kingdom, with a half-sunken boat near you."

I looked at myself and realized that I was back in my yellow tunic. My old recorder with the box of tapes on the bedside table.
"Guys," I looked up at Link and MtRF. "What do you think...we interview the people of the Mushroom Kingdom and find out how to get back to Hyrule?"
I got back up to my feet and got the old retriever.

Link the Zora the interveiwer was back in buisness!

Sorry for a humorless chapter. This is just to explain the long hitaus and everything. The humor is coming.

I decided to try something different. Since many people considered script-format to be the laziest form of writing, I thought to just write it out in full.
This is really my first time I've ever done anything like this, so I'm not sure if I did great or not. (Is it a good idea for me to just write it out on Word before putting it here? I'm just writing it out on here.)

I probably shouldn't be doing the "LTZ" and "MTRF" thing if I'm not doing it the Script Format...

Up next is Mario!

Hehe, I liked it! Do Luigi after Mario! You can easily make that one humorous because Luigi himself is humorous!

For some realisim, MTRF will be known as Matty, OoT Link...just Link and TP Link...uh...I guess T-Link. As for LtZ? Just the same old thing.

Chapter Two: Mario
After we ate breakfast (that composed of sushi and mushrooms), I went outside to see Mario sleeping by a tree, his hat down over his face.
"Mario?" I walk up to him "Mario, wake up."
"Not-a now, Luigi. I'm-a taking a sleep. Rescue-a the princess your-a self." Mario mumbled.
Navi fluttered down by Mario's ear. Knowing exactly what she was about to do, we quickly covered our ears, but even that couldn't protect us much from the high-pitched screams of "HEY! HELLO?! LISTEN!"

Mario immediatly jumped up ten feet before landing on his head. Groaning, he righten himself up and shook his head.
"Hey, Mario. I'm LtZ. I'm here to interview you."
"Sorry, I thought-a you were Luigi telling me that Princess Peach-a had been kidnapped again." Mario blinked. "Is she kidnapped?"
"No," I began and reached for my recorder.
"GOOD!" Mario shouted without warning. His eyes were feirce and wild. He suddenly produced a mushroom from his pocket and bit into it savagely. "Do you-a know how many times I have to save-a her? My whole life is vanishing! I am-" he fumbled, trying to figure out how old he was, but he groaned and gripped the sides of his head. "I cannot-a even remember how old I am now! I may be 100!"

"Mario, you're at least 20, 30 tops." I told his reassuringly, but the little plumber glared.
"In the REAL world I may be-a, but in-a THIS world, I am-a at least 40! If Bowser wants-a her so badly, then he-a can have her! I only have-a one life! One!" he held up a shaking gloved finger for emphasis.

"Uh, dude? No you don't." Matty crossed his arms. "Depending on the many 1-UP mushrooms you have, you are immortal."
"My FINAL DEATH-A!" Mario shouted. "When I die-a naturally, no mushrooms-a you shove down-a my throat will revive me. Same goes for
Link-a and his faries."
"And Luigi?" Link stepped forward. "Look, I know it's tough. You realize how many times Zelda's been kidnapped by Ganondorf? Peach is fine."
"So-a I assume Zelda is not?" Mario raised an eyebrow.
"Ganon captured Renaldo and we've got to save him. We need to go back to Hyrule. Is there a dock you can take us too?"
"Woah, take-a you? You think Mr. Mario-a here is a simple guide? No, Link-a. I'll go with you."
"But I thought you just said-" I babble and gesture at him. In the future, I would look back and learn to not talk to a man who's high on mushrooms. But now, I was just plain confused.


"If you thought Mario's bad on 'shrooms. You have never seen Link when he's drunk on Chaetu Romani." Navi mumbled as she fluttered next to me.
"Where's Midna and T-Link?" I asked.
"Two words: Fishing Fun." Navi replied. "The moment T-Link heard there was a fishing pond nearby, he ran off."
We stared at the high Mario.
"I've seen this plenty of time while we've been waiting for you to wake up. It'll take him a few hours to get over it. Come. I think I know just where T-Link went. But I warn you, Midna may not be very happy."
