Legend of Zelda: The Altered Treasure
I decided to start another fan-fic, which starts immediately after Ganon's death in OoT. After Ganon's death, Link starts acting odd, and the Sages are required to take desperate measures. Zelda is forced to flee and find another treasure left behind by the Creators of Hyrule, one separate from the Triforce (sorry Azerik, but I want to write about this, too). And the story goes on from there.
Note: Some places I am required to make up for the sake of the story. I will try to go into more detail if you guys like the story.
Prologue: The Displacement of Power
Link swung, knocking Ganon's head to the side. Link drew back, preparing for the final blow. Ganon's pupils withdrew as the sword point pierced between his eyes. The beast roared in pain, its silhouette grew dark, and it fell upon the ground, defeated. Link remained in his position, sword still protruding from Ganon's face, not sure whether he was dead or not. Zelda, noticing the flames of Ganon's barrier falling rushed over to Link. The two stood above the body of the Dark Beast. Link, turned to Zelda and smiled.
"Finally, it is over. The Dark King's reign has ended. Hyrule is now at pe-" Zelda said until she stopped mid-sentence.
A light appeared where the Master Sword met Ganon's head. Link, noticing the light as well, tried desperately to remove the sword. The Triforce mark upon the back of his hand resonated with a pulsing light. The light upon the sword traveled up the blade and sparked as it hit Link's hand. Link was thrown backwards from the force of the hit. Zelda panicked and quickly looked to see if the Dark Lord had attempted another trap. The corpse remained upon the ground, unmoving. It was only until Zelda's eyes reached Ganon's hand did she notice what had happened. The Triforce mark upon his hand had faded. Suddenly, Link gasped aloud from the ground. Zelda ran over to him, he was clutching the back of his hand. Zelda managed to pull it from his grasp and looked at it. The mark was pulsing, synchronized with Link's heartbeat. With each pulse it slightly faded, until one last one. The last pulse brought with it a blinding light. Zelda looked away, shielding her eyes. Link's body hovered into the air, away from Zelda. When Zelda looked up, Link's body was dangling in a tower of light. Then, his body shook violently and, just as suddenly, stopped. Zelda studied his appearance for any abnormalities. Her eyes shot back and forth and landed upon his hand again. The Triforce mark was still there, but there was something wrong. When she looked at it, she looked at the mark upon her hand. Her Triforce of Wisdom was glowing as well. Link then started laughing. His body turned towards Zelda and lowered itself back down, inches above the ground. He leaned forward and held up his hand. The Triforce mark glowed, showing both the Triforce of Courage, and the Triforce of Power. Zelda gasped as Link's hand shot out and grasped her neck. Link lifted her body into the air. Zelda struggled against the force and fought for air.
"L-Link, st-st-stop. L-Link..." Zelda choked out.
"Hero! Stop this now!" Link's body was blasted back by a beam of light, and he snarled at its source. Rauru had appeared from the door to the Sacred Realm he stepped out and took Zelda into the Chamber of Sages. Link shot forward, not touching the ground, but was stopped by Impa, Darunia, and Nabooru. Rauru started running out of the Chamber of Sages, Zelda losing consciousness in his arms. Nabooru was blasted back into the Chamber and she fell unconscious. Link shot through the opening soon afterward, hand out, aiming for Rauru's neck. Rauru then immediately set up a barrier of light just as Link reached him. Link struck the barrier three times before it shattered. As the pieces of the barrier fell, Link was struck back by another blast, this one smelling of grass and tree leaves.
"Saria, it is as we feared. You can't handle him alone!" Rauru exclaimed, running out of the Hall that connected to the main chamber of the Sacred Castle in the Sacred Realm. Link then suddenly busted through a wall of the Castle, still in pursuit. He was gaining on the two Sages until he was struck by a wall that resonated with the sound of water. Ruto dropped down from the ceiling freezing the wall into several thick sheets of ice.
"She's not alone, I'll help her. Just get Zelda to the past! She has to!" Ruto said as Link started hitting the sheets of ice.
"Okay. May the Goddesses favor you." Rauru stammered as he started to run out of breath. He rushed out the door of the Castle and disappeared.
