(ZGen) Legend of Zelda: The Beginning of the End ... [T]

Welcome! I'm not too familiar on every charatcer name, especially those mentioned outside the Zelda videogames, so I'm naming certain characters myself. If anyone knows the names i have put in by mistake, please let me know before you criticize. I appreciate you just taking the time to click the thread, and would love any feedback if you wish to respond. I accept ALL criticism, my work is by no means perfect, and your comments help on improvements. My prologue setting up the story will be my biggest chapter, i try to make my chapter's small, but well detailed, so it doesn't seem a chore to read through a novel worth of a post.

To the MODs of the section::: I don't like to double posts, but when I'm ready to write my next chapter, I'll multi-quote all who have reviewed and reply to all in one post, then reply afterwards with my next chapter. I just don't like to reply and put a chapter in one post, makes it look unorganized. And i do not reply to one reply, i try to wait for a few so i can lessen the posts down between chapters when i reply to others replies. thanks you. If thats a problem just let me know and I'll try and work on it.

The story. The title should speak for itself. This is MY interpretation of these events that have never been told in detail. I've had this idea for awhile. And have some really interesting ideas to scome in the future for this tale. Think of it as a "what if..." to the origins of the 3 that make up the tri-force. We will start, with the very beginning of their story.



Prologue:


Kakariko Village ...

The small village town of Kakariko. The few who live here have all gathered for a special occassion. A newborn baby is about to add to the small population of this village. Everyone gathered waits outside the town's Inn where the local doctor has arrived and prepares to delivery the baby ...


Hyrule Castle ...

"You have to do something! Can't you see she's dying from the pain! I called you here for a --"

"Your Magesty! Calm down. This is normal. All your chaotic yelling and screaming isn't helping your wife situation!" Dr. Meelios argues back to King Daltus, the royal king of Hyrule. "Please, Sire, let me handle this! It's my job, it's why I'm here."

King Daltus hesitates, then replies, "Very well. I'll be right outside. Just please, take care of my wife and child."

"Of course, your Majesty, it's what i do. But, it is time, sir. Your wife is about to have this child. Now, please, step aside. I'll call you in the moment the child arrives."

King Daltus, with his servant, step out of the king's quarters. The both of them wait outside as he hears his wife's painful screams through the solid walls. King Daltus sighs, and says to himself, "This is what every king dreams of. An aire to his thrown, his legacy. I'm scared, Landon. Not worried, though, because my boy is going to do wonders for Hyrule when he becomes king."

Landon, the king's personal servant, arches an eyebrow and calmly replies to the king, "But ... your majesty, what if it's a girl?" ...


Gerudo Valley ...

Two Gerudian female soldiers are making their way back from Lake Hylia and through the Gerudo Valley of Hyrule. The Gerudo are a tribe consisiting of only women in a vast desertland. They have almost made it back home with the Gerduo's water supply when all of a sudden ...

"Oh! Oh, my! Oh, no!" One of the Gerudian women suddenly feels a bursts of pain around her abdomen.

"Felsian? What is it? What? No! Not here! Don't do this to me! You can't have your baby here!" Nuboal panickly rushes to Felsian's side and pulls her down from the carriage carrying the shipment of water.

"Oh! I can't have this baby here! We have to hurry. Get back to --" Felsian yells as she is set down by Nuboal. "Oh! No! I can't, I can't ..."

"Lay down, Felsian! There's no time! This baby's coming wether you're ready or not." Nuboal lays Felsian on her back, takes off her cloak and lays it in front of Felsian. "Ok, we can do this. We can do this. I know you have to breathe and push."

"What?" Felsian menacingly says. "That's all you know about labor. Oh! Oh! Wait, it's coming. I can't stop it!" Felsain scream one loud and long moan, as she pushes as hard as she can.

The new born child comes out with ease after a single push. Nuboal wraps the newborn baby in her cloak and cradles the baby in her arms. "Look, Felsian. Oh, my! What a beautiful little girl you have. What are you going to name her?"

Felsian comes to her senses and relaxes. "Ganian. Her name is Ganian.", Felsain answers, as she reaches for her baby. Nuboal uncraddles the baby from her arms to hand her to Felsian. The cloak slowly unwraps from the newborn baby, falling to the ground.

Nuboal notices something, something very unfamiliar to Gerudo newborns. "Felsian? Look. I think I should've asked, what are you going to name HIM?"

Cool. This could end up a hit after say 5 chapters. I still need to finish the third chapter of a fanfic of my own. this one's good. Please also read mine though.

Chapter 1


Hyrul Castle ...

King Daltus frantically paces the wide open hallways surrounded the king quarter's as he waits impatiently for Dr. Meelios' update on the birth of his child.

Landon puts an arm on King Daltus shoulder as a gesture to stay put and be calm. "Everything's going to be fine your majesty. We should just remain calm and wait."

"Sounds easy, Landon. Especially when it's not your wife and child in there. But it's mine, I can't just wait out here and do nothing!"

Dr. Meelios is already waiting for him at the entrance, his head bowed down in sorrow. "I'm so sorry, your highness. Your wife..." Dr. Meelios couldn't even finish the statement without tearing up. "There's nothing more we could do for her. I'm so sorry."

"Sire?" The nurse approaches King Daltus calmly, and offers his newborn to him. "She's lovely, your highness. An absolutely beautiful little girl"


Kakariko Village ...

"That's it Kendran! That's it! One more push...." Dr. Alvarez coaches Kendran through the birth of her child. After one more agonizing push from the mother to be, her baby is born into the hands of Dr. Alvarez.

"Haha! I knew you could do it, Kendran. I knew it." Dr. Alvarez shouts with excitement. He takes the newborn and cleans it and covers it in a thick linin cloth. He approaches Kendran and hands the baby down to her, "Very healthy baby boy, Kendran. What's his name?"

Kendran bursts into tears when she first lays eyes on her baby. "I wish to name him after you, doctor. He has no father figures in his life. You're the closest he's probably got."

Dr. Alvarez, greatful at the gesture, sarcastically replies, "Link? I always thought I had a weak first name. I am honored, Kendran."


Gerudo Valley ...

The darkened night sky that has enveloped all of Hyrule slowly starts to pour little rain droplits down. The two woman make their way back to the carriage after celebrating the birth of Felsian's baby boy.

"We better hurry, Nuboal. I don't want my baby catching a cold his first day in this world." Felsian says, as she straps her baby down before getting into the carriage. She says to her baby, "Now, Ganon, you be a good little boy. It might be a bumpy ride home, but mommy's gonna take good care of you."

At that moment, the rain droplets become more intense leaking down from the darkened nigtfall. Nuboal looks up to the sky, and notices the clouds splitting, revealing a clearer sky behind the blanket of dark clouds. A flash of light comes from within the opening, a ray of beautiful color descends from the sky, but not just one streak as lightning normally would do. There were three streaks, simultaneously striking Hyrule in three different precise locations.

One of those flashes hits the carriage and sends Nuboal and Felsian diving for the ground for cover. Felsian recovers and screams for her baby, "No! Ganon! Are you..." She stops ans sees her child. He his asleep. Unaffected by the lighting strike it seems.

Nuboal looks closer, and says, "Didn't notice that before. His right hand. There's some sort of .... traingular birthmark?"

A few problems I have with this:
Are you suggesting that Zelda, Link, and Ganondorf were all born at the same time? Ganondorf is clearly older than the other two.
But, the one main problem I have with this is that Ganondorf has the mark of the triforce on him at birth...assuming you're sticking somewhat to the actual plot of the games, then this isn't correct. That mark didn't appear until he touched the triforce, halfway through Ocarina of Time.
But, if this fan fic is meant to replace OoT as the beginning story, then I have no problem with it.
There's no official name for the king in OoT, but the king in Wind Waker is Daphnes III, so some think the OoT King is Daphnes I, but there's no proof.

Anyway, keep on writing. I'll be interested to see what you have in store

When i write, i like to reveal some things, but still leave it suspenseful on whats going to happen next. I read yours and replied, I'll defenitely be keeping track of your Lost Chronicles.

Than you for taking the time, and replying. Means alot. The hardest part to writing is finally getting the courage to post and waiting to see if anyone actually cares on what you've writeen. Thanx so much

Thank You for replying. I know I'm going to take some criticism on what i chose to do with this story, but I really want an origin that ties these three together significantly; and they have no idea. I know Ganondorf is much older, and he's going to age very quickly during his years. Trust me, i have some interesting plans on his upbringing as a child and king. I can't spoil anything, but rest assure, I've done fanfics like these before, but never a Zelda, and have gotten huge responses. My writing insn't in novel format, i try to incorporate a faster pace, by combining comicbook dialogue, movie script screen writing, and novelization.

I hope you do check back for more. Even if noone's interested, i don't abandon a story by any means. There is plenty more to come.
