Zelda Appendices - Origin's of Ganondorf

Note - This is the first of anything posted by me in the fan fiction section, and based on the reactions to this, it could be either my last, or first of many! You'll have to set aside what you know, or what you think you know of Zelda facts. Many of my fictions, Zelda based are slightly re-imagined, and contradict many time-line theories, racial facts, and anything really, but I hope you enjoy it non the less!

Deep with in the waste lands of the Gerudo province, seems to be miles upon miles of endless sand, dominating everything, imposing a certainty of death from the spec of very few bones of beasts that might of inhabited the land, from a time that might have been habitable.

But amongst the deep of the sand, lies a shambles of a village. which plague a grand structure, spoiling its look. It's almost as if the temple, which stands on a mount of red rock provides the only life source for the leeches of huts and mud homes that grotesquely grip on and around the structure, spreading out to where the single rock face meets with the endless desert again.

A band of ruthless boar-back riders ride return from another, scarce scavenge, stealing and scraping anything they can get their hands on. Concerned villagers scatter into the depths of their homes, while others scatter towards the roars and yells of the arrogant riders. Beggars come in the rider's path, pleading for spare food, or something they could possibly sell, but they are simply knocked to their feet as the riders charge boastfully towards the sand eaten temple. The riders begin to slow down as the enter the temple, passing various pillars and arches as they come into a open cirlce of sand.

At the end of the ring, up high in a throne like seating area of the amphitheater , sits a large fat Gerudo king. He sits smugly amongst the priceless treasures and artifacts that are disrespectfully scattered anywhere. Many bones scatter the balcony and the sand ring, some of dead warrior, some simply of discarded food the king litters. The fat king lets out a gargling laugh as the riders bring in another scavange.

'What treasures and marvels have you brought me this time?' cries the king, grinning with marvel. A general rides in front of the other riders and empties a sack of items. 'My Lord, we came across a band of explorers in the western section, many carried gold and treasures...'. The band of riders grin smugly to themselves of their efforts, as the king lets out a bellowed laugh that echoes the labyrinth of the temple. 'Good! Good... now come, show me what you've brought me...'. The large riders get off their mounts as they pick up the gifts and take them to the king.

In the deep of the shadows of the temple, a small skinny figure pops his red-headed face in and out of the light, waiting for something to drop from the throne area. The king chuckles in his chair as he looks through the newly claimed fortunes. He stops to a dusty thick book with metal framing as it is so big. 'Pff, is that all we have?' the king grunts as he tosses the book over the edge of the balcony. The book lands right in front of the boy who seems to be marveled by such a large book. 'My Lord, the amount of people to dare to venture into these lands are become more scarce... I believe in short time, we will be bringing back far less than this...' The arrogant general now becomes a slumped pathetic pose as he huddles as he speaks. 'Well... You best double your efforts then!' The king interups 'You know... I don't tolerate failure general Kwartof...' The king looks towards the countless heads lunged onto rusty metal spikes that awkwardly surround the tops of the stadium. The general is about to speak, as suddenly grunts come from the bottom of the throne. Two thickly armored guards trail the young boy into the circle of the stadium as he weakly tries to loosen their grip on them. 'My Lord, we found this maggot trying to thieve your book! Let me cut off his head now...' The king calmly looks at the boy. 'Child... What is your name?...Speak!' The boy lifts his head , scowling at the king, as he stops struggling. '...Ganondorf Dragmire'.As the boy rubs his swore wrists the king nods as the two guards unwillingly leave the pit. 'I've had many try and steal from me... do you know what happen to them?' The boy continues to scowl aimlessly, away from the kings eyes. 'It would be wise to fear such a mighty and powerful king, but what riddles me, is out of all the glorious treasures, you chose a book...'. The kings voice echoes before turning into the boy's silence. The guards start to become wearily of the boys rudeness towards their king, and fidget with their weapons. 'I... I want to read it, your highness'. 'Read?! Baha! Reading will make nothing out of a man. Do you think all this comes from reading?' The king boastfully waves his hand around the shrine he's made for himself. 'Power, does not come from knowledge.. it comes from force, from strength, from steel... of a warrior!' The boy quietly nods. The king leans back into his chair at the continuing silence. 'Rid me of your sight boy, pray I do not see you again...' The boy, briskly fetches the book, before silently sprinting off with it clasped at his chest, leaving the pit. 'The king grunts as he bitterly rips the meat off a chicken leg in his mouth, staring coldly at the boy as he leaves...

Okay, well... This is turning out to be longer than I expected... This doesn't really cover what I was going to mention.. but expect the rest of this to continue soon!
I hoped you liked it, especially for having a whim at 3:00am. Bye!

ps. i might even possibly put a few sketches in there for refernce.

Re: Zelda Appendices - Origin's of Ganondorf

I'm confused. Is the king the previous Gerudo king?
