This is perhaps my greates idea ever... it takes place after Twilight princess.


Prolouge: Hero's of legend

This is only one legend that flows on the breath of wind itself.

For centuries, many times have the dark crypt of shadow attempt to run over and obliterate the kingdom of Hyrule. And, always in the brink of destruction, a hero emerges from the rest of the crowd to destroy it…

The latest example was in the southern province of Ordon, where a young hero named Link learned his calling as the new hero from their guardian, Ordona. Since that moment, he learned about the darkness called the twilight. With aid of their princess, Midna, they repelled the dark lord.

It has now come to pass that, when ever the mark of the triforce appeared on a child, the shadows would attempt to destroy their bonds. That is but one of the many legends. When the last hero destroy and sealed the dark lord, he made it final by placing the blade of destroying shadows back into his rightful place. He returned to his hometown and courted a young maiden from the village and married her.

It has been ten years since then. A problem arises, however, when the son and daughter of the chosen hero each receives a mark of the triforce.

Chapter one: The twins strong hold.

Eight year old Link and his twin sister, Mina, were outside doing their chores. Link was plotting and seeding the grounds, and Mina was at the waterwheel, gathering water for everyone.

In the time that their father, Link had saved Hyrule, he mass produced his homeland enough for a farm and fishing well. His wife, Lila, had inherited his father’s mansion when he died of old age. Now Link took over as mayor of the village of Ordon. What their kids didn’t know was that Link was the savior of Hyrule, for they left it out to live a normal life for everyone.

Once Link had finished seeding the land with a patch of pumpkins, the village’s favorite food, he returned to the house to take a break. Link had his mother’s hair, though it was slightly shorter then hers. He was always looking for the easy way out of things, hoping to rest whenever possible. He went down to his room in the basement and kicked off his boots.

His sister, Mina, was the hardworking one. She too, had her mother’s hair and Link’s sharp blue eyes… almost feral, Mina often thought to herself. She dragged a giant crate of water to house, and struggled, but managed, to place it in the storage bin. She knocked on her brothers door, “You know you could’ve helped me finish MY chores!”

From behind the door, Link yelled, “ Well, that would mean I had to do MORE chores and cut down my relaxation before dinner…”

“What? You didn’t help just so you could lie down!” Mina shouted

Their mother came down stairs, “What’s going on, you two?” She asked.

“Lazy over their decides to lay down and rest instead of helping me!” Mina complained

“Link?” Her mother asked.

“I already did my chores, all by myself, I might add… Why should I help her out?” Link’s answer came.

“Because it’s the right thing to do.” Lila said.

It was that moment when everything started to fall apart. Mina’s right handed started to glow. She shrieked in fright. From behind the door, Everyone heard a yell, indicating that the same was happening to Link.

“What’s going on, mom.” Mina asked. The glowing subsided, revealing three triangles engraved, with the one on the left glowing brightly.

Link opened the door, showing an identical mark, with the same mark glowing.

Their mother’s eyes winded with fear, and immediately ran upstairs, calling for Link. Their father came down and followed their mother’s suit, his eyes widening. “Impossible…” He said, looking from mark to mark, “Both of you go to your rooms and stay there."

Chapter 2:

Throughout out the night, Link and Mina where in link’s room, while their parents were discussing something… but they couldn’t exactly hear what. As of now both twins have wooden swords in their hands, fixing to practice their sword fighting. They stood across from each other, and clashed their swords in a “X” formation; witch was the custom way to start a fight.

Link was the first to make a move, he circled his sister a few times, and then gave off a thrust towards her right shoulder. It was immediately blocked as Mina rose her sword up to defend it. Countering she circled Link’s sword with her own, and gave a few quick jabs at the sword, trying to lure Link back into an offensive state.

Link took the bait, feigning left to expose Mina’s defense, when she move her sword to block it, he quickly turned right and gave a successful hit to Mina’s chest. ‘One.” Link smiled as the word came through his mouth.

This continued for quite a while, with each twin blocking and striking the other. The current score was Link: nine, and Mina with six. Link needed one more point to win the practice match. Mina was on full guard now, refusing to move out of a defensive stance. It was around this time when Link did something unexpected, he swung his sword horizontally and did a jump attack when the blow landed, it gave off a shock wave. It caused Mina to lose her sword, and Link tapped Mina to win the match.

Both Twins where heavily panting, now sitting on the bed, drinking some water. “How… did you do that?” Mina asked

“The shock wave thing? ...I don’t know… It just happened.” Link said

“No, not that, that fact that you beat me? You’ve improved since our last duel, witch was yesterday!” Mina started, “Though you raise a point about the wave…”

Their parents knocked on the door, Link was the first to enter, “Kids, we’re going to go to castle Hyrule… in the mean time, Colin agreed to watch over you two, so behave.”

“I’m, sorry you can’t come with us… but it’s urgent. Promise us you’ll behave. If you want Colin said he’d take you to Rusl’s for more practice.” Their mother said as they both left.

Hey, you're not the only one. I get the same problem with my writing thread. No comments there either. >.>

Anyway, that was pretty interesting. I can see the story is set after the events of TP and pretty much what's going on. I don't see many grammar errors either. I can't wait to read the next chapter! ^^
