Legend of Zelda: The Coming of Stalgod

Prologue: Ten Years Ago

Ganondorf awoke on the morning of his sixteenth birthday. This was the age in Gerudo society when the lone man became the sworn leader of the desert. Among other things was a ceremony that would bestow upon him the power of dark magic. Kotate and Koume brought him to a desolate wasteland outside the desert and Hyrule.

"Here we are, my child." Kotate said. "Use this purple medallion to go into the land of the dead. We have loaded supplies for you to build a small alter, and become one with the darkness."

And so, Ganondorf opened a portal with the medallion, and rode his horse into the darkness. Clouds covered the sky, and lighning crached, but the ground looked as though it had never seen rain. He built an alter, said cryptic words, and sat. Sometimes Stalfos, Stalhounds, and Redeads appeared to stare at him, but they showed reverence towards the alter and left him alone. He felt slightly different after some time, but eventually got tired of thunder and rocks and left.

The next day he complained to Koume. "I don't feel much different. Every time I do my spear and bow training, I feel stronger, but besides being a little creeped out I don't feel any more powerful!"

"Magic is different than weapon training. It will come slowly, at it's own pace. Four generations we've been doing this!"

Later that day he took the amulet to go back to the wastelands. His mothers had taken it back, but they didn't guard over it much. He returned to see his alter still standing, but passed it by to look for more. He attacked some undead with his spear, and had a nice fight with a Dead Hand, but was unsatisfied until he came to a great tomb.

It looked like it was made of a single block of stone, but was as big as a castle. Many seal tags hung over the walls, and the door had strange carvings. He pushed on the door with all his might, and opened it just enough to peek through. There was something inside, and it turned towards the door, but it was too dark to see much.

A gust of wind was sucked through the door from the outside, and Ganondorf felt the worst feeling of sickness and exaustion that he had felt in his life. He pulled the door to, and stumbled away. It took him a few minutes to recover from that horrible feeling, and he quickly made his way out of that place.

Chapter Two: Present

Ganondorf awoke in a cold sweat after having the same dream two nights in a row. It would start out with him approaching that tomb again, even though he knew he didn't want to go over there. After peering into the eyes of that mysterious beast, the Triforce appeared to him.

He had made an attempt to capture the Triforce before, and it was moved to the Royal Sanctuary, but in his dream, the Triforce of Power spoke to him. It told him to accept its quest, and he would have done almost anything to get the ToP back, but going back there was not one of those things.

To avoid embarrasment, and maybe conquer a fear of his, he grabbed his Trident of Power, and headed to Kotate's meditation room.

"Give me that amulet. I want to go do something."

"There is nothing in the Land of the Dead for you. Things are in that place that should never be touched. Besides, beings of the undead have been harrassing the bordr patrols. Don't agitate them."

"Wouldn't them messing with us be a GOOD reason for us to mess with them? Besides, I just want to go look at something."

Ganondorf took the amulet and made his way to the wastelands. He didn't know what to expect, but it certaintly wasn't what he saw. Instead of a tomb, he saw a grand fortress with Stalfos on the walls, and Stalhounds running around outside. He decided to se what was goiung on, so he approached the gate. Hounds mopbbed him, and Stalfos fired arrows from the walls.

With great strength, he sliced the Hounds in half, and fired energy blasts and the soldiers. He levitated over the moat, and threw his trident at the stone gate, but it left no mark. For better or worse, it opened anyway.

On the other side was a large skeletal beast with ram horns and wings. It had the same eyes that Ganondorf saw earlier.

"Your trash is making trouble in my lands! Now I will give payback!"

"Foolish mortal!" The creature cried, and sucked in a great breath. All of Ganondorf's energy was drained from him, and he fell onto the open gate, not bridgeing the moat. "I am Stalgod, creator of dark magics. The power you use is my power, and I will happily take it back." It said, also snatching the amulet away.

In his moment of great weakness, he saw the Triforce of Power, and it asked him to take it's quest. He accepted, and the mark of the Triforce appeared on his hand. Power fueled his body, and he rose.

"I'm just like you: Evil and powerful. I take what I feel like, regardless of where it comes from."

Stalgod noticed the mark. "You, creature chosen by the Godesses, were never one of us. Your role is to maintain balance between good and evil, using one of the fragments of godly power.

The Gerudo lunged for Stalgod to get the amulet back, but it flapped it's wings and sent Ganondorf flying. The grasping arms of a Dead Hand caught him and held him down.

When you opened the door, I drew a feeble breath and tasted life. I could have broken a hole in the demension a year ago, when my army was ready, but that would have drawn the attention of every being with some magical power. This amulet will serve to make my arrival quieter."

Ganondorf broke free just as the god used the amulet. He then found himself in a different part of Hyrule, with a large problem. The wasteland would become a base of attack, and Hyrule might fall to the undead.

"I really don't want to rule a bunch of undead creatures." Ganondorf said as he began walking home.

Hey, not bad but it could use a bit more detail especially in the action scenes. Most importantly however this piece seems rushed, I noticed many spelling mistakes throughout, considering this wasn't a very long chapter I strongly advise you to quickly proof-read it before finally posting it.

I'm sorry if you think it's rushed. I'm not really creative with fight scenes anymore. And yes, I know I make spelling errors. The longer the post, the more errors I'm likely to make, so either don't complain about a few errors, or don't call them short.

Oh no no you got me all wrong, I'm not complaining, just trying to help however I can. If I didn't care for the story, I wouldn't waste my time posting that; I'm interested in seeing how this carries on.
