Storm master comes to hyrule

My first attempt at any type of fan fiction. Since I'm in love with zelda, why not start there? Anyway, it's written kinda like a childrens book. Hope you enjoy!

Storm master comes to hyrule

Link awoke in his bed somewhere around two in the morning to the sounds of the rain and wind whipping around the house. He had never heard the wind in such ways so he decided it was best to investigate. Going to his dresser he opened the drawer and pulled out his favorite tunic, his green tunic. After getting dressed he armed himself with his trusty sword and shield and headed for the door.

As Link stepped outside he was nearly blown over by the winds they were so strong. He pushed himself forward however, step by step. It was so dark that he could barely see where he was going, thinking to himself he really should of brought his latern. A noise came from the trees just ahead and a figure approached quickly. Link drew his sword and took a defensive position, waiting for the attack to come. It never came. A guard from hyrule castle finally became visible and started yelling at link just so he could hear him.

"THERE IS A STORM APPROACHING FROM THE SOUTH. IT IS SURELY A FOUL WIND, CAN YOU NOT SMELL IT IN THE AIR? EVERYONE IS TAKING REFUGE IN THE CASTLE BUT THERE ARE SOME THAT ARE STILL MISSING! OLD MAN OLIVER BY THE LAKE CANNOT MAKE IT , AND SOME CHILDREN WERE SEPERATED FROM THEIR PARENTS IN THE FOREST SURROUNDING THE CASTLE! WE'LL LOOK FOR THE CHILDREN, YOU GO GET OLIVER" The guard said very, very loudly.

Link simply nodded his head in agreement and ran in the direction of the lake and old man olivers home. Trough the small wooded area surrounding the lake was easy travel, but when he came to the path leading on to the lake he found that it had been flooded already. Stumped, link stood for a moment thinking to himself on his options. Fifteen minutes later he was still thinking and the water levels were still rising. So fast infact that he continually had to take a few steps backwards to avoid being sucked in. He almost jumped out of his boots when lighting struck a nearby tree and it feel right in front of him. In the process of falling a few of the limbs fell out of the tree and into the water and floated downstream. Being Inspired link grabbed a fallen branch and dragged it closer to the water. He then pushed it into the water and paddled with his hands and feet until he reached the other side.

A few minutes later link arrived at olivers home and politely knocked on the door. There were footsteps slowly...very slowly coming for the door. Old man oliver opened the door and stared at link hard. "It's about time you got here young man! And why in the name of the goddess are you knocking in such desperate times, it's like we have time to stop and smell the flowers!" oliver said with a look on his face that suggested he had just finished drinking lemonade with no sugar. Link frowned and stood dumbfounded for a moment.

"Well are we going, or did you just not want me to drown alone?" oliver said.

As they were heading back towards the flood path another lighting bolt struck just ahead of them! This one was different from the first however. Different in color for one thing, it was green instead of white, and it made a very strange sound when it hit. More of a buzzing than and crack really. Link and oliver stopped dead in their tracks as a shadowy figure emerged from where the bolt had struck. They couldn't make out much, but they could see he was wearing black robes and a hood over he head hiding his face. The figure stopped just a few feet in front of them. Smoke was slowly floating away from his body as he spoke.

"Ah, so this is the link I've heard so much of. The hero of time if I'm not mistaken? Stopped many of the lord ganons plans, have you not? Well, I'm afraid it won't be so easy this time. I'm no pushover I assure you. A child will never stop me. Now now, why don't you hand over the old man? I have plans in store for him. I'm sure you won't mind."

Link drew his sword and once again prepared himself for battle. "Hahahhaha...so pathetic with your small sword. Do you think that could stop me? Well come on then, give it a try hero of time." The figure said very painly. Link lunged foward and just as his sword was about to fall and make contact he was flung backward by a bolt of electricty to the the chest. He struck the ground hard, barely able to catch his breath. His vision began to fade and he saw the figure pick up old man oliver and being to carry him away into the darkness.

"So long big strong and brave hero..." The figure said with a calm cool laugh. Then link passed out and everything went black.

Part 2 - An old friend

Link awoke to a sounds of the water all around him and for a moment he thought he was most likely going to drown. Then he felt something else. Like he was bobbing up and down. When he finally got the strenght to open his eyes he saw that he was in a boat and that he was not alone. There was a tall slender man at the other end of the boat paddling. He had short black hair, a thin mustache, and was wearing a striped shirt with black pants.

"Hi there fellow! I was beggining to think you were never going to wake up!" the man said with a high pitched voice that sounded like it could shatter glass.

Link stood up in the boat to have a look around and he nearly fell back down because his head started spinning like a top. "Easy there fellow! We wouldn't want you to hurt yourself again!" said the man. Link finally managed to grip the sides of the boat and steady himself. As he looked out over hyrule what he saw made him almost fall again. The whole land was flooded! You could only see the tops of the trees over the water. Here and there you would spot someones fence or household items floating along. Other than that you would never of known that anything had been there at all!

"Ah, it is a sad sight. Is it not my young companion? You're lucky I saw you when I did, you would of most likely of drowned within minutes. Once the flood waters started coming in they're was no time to react. Some of the soilders from the castle were trying to sandbag, but it was to no avail. They were washed away before they knew what hit them." the man said sadly as he paddled on. His voice somehow softer than it was.

Link turned and looked at the man with a stone hard look on his face.

"Oh don't worry the survivors that were in the castle had plenty of time to get to the safety of the towers. Normally they would not of had time, but a young man dressed in a black robe held the waters back long enough. What a great man I say! With wondeful powers to help the people of hyrule!" The man said with the high pitch in his voice returning.

Link stared harder.

"Can I take you to the castle?" The man said. Then something strange happened. The man stood there thinking for a moment, then he started to laugh under his breath. "So you want to go to the castle my little friend. What would be the point in that I ask you? You think maybe you could convince everyone that I'm the bad guy? Well I think you are mistaken my short little hero. The king...well he didn't actually give his best performance in a time of crisis. He started acting strangely to say the least. His people were not pleased. Fournatly I was there to save the day. I warn you not to show your face here! The people have a strong disliking for you as well. I mean wouldnt you? Anyone that kills an old man is surely not liked in the community." The man seemed to come out of a trance and look around blankly for a moment. Then he looked directly at link and a broad smile crossed his face.

"I'm sorry fellow. This is about as far as I can take you, please get out of my boat now." the man said while he picked up link and threw him out into the water. Luckily there happen to be another one of those convient broken limbs floating about and linked climbed onto it. He sat there pondering what to do next when he saw to the east a strange bird flying towards him. As it came closer it seemed that he had seen him somewhere before. It was a large owl and it landed onto a tree branch just above him. It was just what link needed. An old friend. A wise one at that.

Part 3 - Witches Brew

The owl informed Link of many things that he was not aware of. Firstly, old man oliver is a magician who makes many potions and spells in his house by the lake (which is actually a lab). Regarding this the owl told him “The evil storm master has used olivers skills to his advantage. He has put the king under a spell that will make him do anything that is to his bidding.”. To break the spell the wise old owl had much helpful advice. “There is another in the mysterious forest that makes spells and potions. Go to her and there you will find the answer you seek. Beware! The path will not be easy and will be filled with many dangers! Now go young hero and save the kingdom of hyrule once again.” After that the owl took flight and faded into the distance leaving link alone again.

After what seemed like forever link finally came to the mysterious woods. To his amazement they were not flooded. The waters simply could not enter. Like an invisible barrier had been set on all sides. He paddled his limb to the very edge of the water and he fell straight out of the water and onto the forest floor. He stood up and brushed himself off and began to take his bearings. After some thought he decided it best to head northwest deeper into the forest. Surely that would be the ideal spot for a mysterious magician in a mysterious wood.

Links first troubles came when he was ambushed by two moblins. They leapt out of the underbrush and attacked with their mighty swords. Links sword was mightier however and the moblins fell after a short battle that involved leaping, ducking, rolling and swings that gave him a nice trim around the hair on his head. His next trouble came when he became completely lost! He knew he was lost because he ended up standing right next to the limb that he floated in on. He stood for a moment trying to regain he bearings when he noticed something strange about the forest. To the west and to the east the trees looked exactly the same. There was not even a difference to be found in the undergrowth! But to the south the forest looked strangely different. There was a soft glow emanating from the trees. Deciding this would be the next best route to choose he set off once again.

The glow seemed to be leading link deeper into the woods. At least this was some progress he thought to himself. After almost two hours he began to notice soft notes of a song being played in the distance. A very relaxing tune that made him feel wonderful. Then he began to notice as he got closer and the song got louder that he became drowsy. It was too late. Before he could take one step backwards he had passed out for the second time on this strange adventure.

The smell of mushrooms flooded Links nostrils as he was finally regaining consciousness. The song was no longer playing and he finally managed to sit himself upright. He realized he was sitting in a dimly lit hut with many pots with bubbling things that he could not even imagine could be. He got up to his feet and began to cautiously explore the little place. After seeing the whole of the place he decided that he was alone. When suddenly there was a loud “POOF!” and a figure began to emerge from over one of the pots! When the figure finally became visible he realized he was looking at a witch. She was not a very pleasant looking one either. Her robe was torn and tattered and her face was green with a very large long nose. Link stared long and hard.

“What are you looking at! Like you’ve never seen something so beautiful? Well you may gaze later if I decide you should live! What are you doing here boy?” she said with a hint of a giggle. Link gave her a look of desperation and she replied “Ah, so the evil storm master has finally come to hyrule? A pupil of mine he was at one time.” She began scratching at a wart at the end of her nose. “A bad seed…I always knew it. Well we surely can’t let him have his way. Here’s what you must do my boy…”

Part 4 - A hole

At first the witches plan sounded quite simple. "You must pierce his skin with an arrow that has this on it's tip." she said while handing him a bottle of bubbling purple goo. Links face lit up with the idea of such a simple plan. Simple plans had never been able to get him trough troubles of this sort before! An apparently neither was this one as she continued on.

"Oh but it not that simple child! His armor is very thick and has a magic spell cast upon it that makes it impenetrable by arrows!. "

Links look turned to the floor with this news. "But for every problem there is a solution. Surely you must know this! For our particular problem the solution lies in the swamp a bit further west of here. There you will find my sister. She is brilliant at countering such spells. Do not worry about the flood. You will find that she as well will have cast a spell to keep the waters out of her domain. Now go to the swamp and go quickly my child. There is not much time to spare if I know the storm master."

Link nodded and stuffing the bottle of goo into his pocket he headed for the door. The witch cleared her throat loudly and looked at link with her hand extended. "What? You didn't think it was free did you?"

After the walk back out of the forest and twenty rupees poorer, Link found his way back to the trusty floating limb. He grabbed hold of it and ran straight into the water and floated right to the top and began paddling west. His trip was rather uneventful and an hour later he arrived at the edge of the swamp. Sure enough there were no flood waters to be found.

"Sploosh!" was the sound made when link fell from the water and into the swamp. There was no dusting himself off this time however. He was covered head to toe in nasty stagnant swamp water. He wasn't sure which way to go as he looked around the damp dark swamp. There were no glowing lights to lead the way either. Infact the whole place felt rather ominous. All around there were the faint sounds of creatures he had never heard before and every now and again he would here a loud splash in the water just ahead of him. He also kept getting the feeling that something was swimming by his feet. As he took a step forward this thought was confirmed as something clutched him by the boots and sucked him under water. Before he could react he was being drug trough the swamp water very quickly. He was stopped when he finally got drug onto land. Wiping the swamp water out of his he noticed that a tail was wrapped around both of his feet. The tail ran from his feet and back into the water. Struggling for a moment he realized that he could not get free. Then he was being drug trough the waters again and he got the feeling that this time the creature would not stop. He was going to drown. He fought against the rush of water with his arms, moving them inch by inch closer to his sword. Just when he thought his oxygen had run out he felt the handle and grasped it tightly. He cut as hard and as fast as he could into the tail until he was finally released.

"It couldn't get much worse than that!" link thought as he huffed and puffed to get a good breath of air. Then with a loud splash the creature emerged from the water and lunged straight for him. Reacting quickly link rolled to the left and out of the creatures path. It turned on him and stood looking at him for a moment. He took this time to look for a weak spot. The creature was covered in what looked like bones shaped into spikes and his skin looked like a thin shell. Then at the base of the creatures neck he noticed a break in the shell and spikes. Link readied himself for the next attack and the creature lunged once again! When it had almost closed in on him Link jumped into the air over the creature. It stopped, wondering where it's prey had gone. Then it felt the pierce of a cold steel blade trough the back of it's neck. Warm blood ran down the creatures back and it fell lifeless to the ground.

With his foot holding down the it's neck, link pulled his sword free of the creature. Surely now things could get no worse for our hero! As he turned to walk away however he felt the ground beneath him give way and his body fall freely. With a loud crash link landed on a small table and busted it into many pieces. He stood and shook his head and noticed that black dust of some kind had gotten all over his tunic. At that moment there was a loud crack and a fireball whizzed right by his head. Across the room a witch stood about to make another attack.

"How dare you kill my precious pet! You will pay for this storm master!" the witch screamed across the room!

Link wondered why something like black dust could cause one so many problems. He grabbed his sword and steadied his shield to ready himself for yet again another fight.

Part 5 - One Item short

The second fireball came rolling straight for link! He successfully dodged it only to be hit by a second he had not seen. The fireball slammed him hard against the earthen walls of the witches abode! Black dust clouded the room and as it cleared the witch saw that link was wearing green not black.

"Oh dear dear dear my child! Why did you not say so? All you would have had to do was speak up! My sister told me of your coming but when I saw the black on you I thought you were surely the storm master! As for my pet, well he doesn't like children and I was planning on making a wonderful potion out of his innards. So really you just saved me the trouble of killing him myself." The witch said with a curious look on her face.

After a bit of cleaning up link and the witch sat down to eat a bit and to talk over the plan at hand. Link really did not feel that he had time to be sitting down and eating, but the witch gave him a glare that really made him uncomfortable, so he quickly decided he was hungry and began eating.

"So the storm master has armor that is protected by a powerful spell? Hmmmph, child's play I say! Anyone of true magical talent wouldn't even have to worry about the arrows getting close enough to pierce armor. Well no matter! I have just the remedy for it." She said as she got to her feet and began rummaging all trough the place looking for something. Link was glad to see her attention turn. He poured his food out to a small animal that had been nipping at his heels all trough dinner. Infact he wasn't sure if it was food at all because the animal wouldn't even eat it.

The witch suddenly reappeared with a small locked chest in her arms. "Here it is my child, here it is!" She said as she opened the chest and revealed a quiver with arrows inside. Link had never saw arrows like them before. They put off a soft glow at their tips and made a faint humming sound when removed from the quiver. "These will certainly do the trick! I made them long ago for a man that used to live up on fire mountain. He returned to me years later to thank me for the arrows and to return them. He said he was leaving hyrule to find adventure elsewhere and thought the arrows might be of use to some other young adventure such as yourself. I was simply amazed that he didn't misplace a single one." she said as if in deep thought. Then her attention turned towards links plate and then to the mess in the floor. "Oh my dear child you spilled your food! Why didn't you speak up? Such a quite young boy!" she said as she scooped more onto his plate. Link felt something rising in his throat as he began eating once again.

After many difficult swallows link finally made his way back to the limb from the witches hole. He wasn't sure if he could stomach the trip but climbed on the limb and started paddling once again. Then it hit him like another plateful of the witches food! He didn't have his bow and on top of that it was in his house that was now sunken beneath the water! He sat floating in the water for a good deal of time trying to figure out how to solve his newfound problem. He could go to the location of his house and dive down to get it. That was no good because he wasn't sure if he could hold his breath long enough. The blue tunic would work wonders but it was right down there with the bow. The shop was underwater as well. Every idea he had was ruined due to the presence of the flood water!
The answer finally came in the form of a large figure flying towards him in the distance. The huge owl landed on the top of a tree that was sticking out of the water just a short distance ahead.

"Without a bow for your arrows young hero? The solution is simple. The witch in the swamp told you that she made those arrows for a man that lived on fire mountain. He returned his arrows to the witch but he left his bow to the gorons he had befriended while living there. Getting it may not be as simple as asking for it however. The gorons have the bow well protected in a cave they use to store many of their precious items. There will be many traps protecting it so be wary. Now go to fire mountain hero and find the cave with the bow you seek." and with those words the owl flew away into the distance once again leaving link alone in the water.

Link looked northeast over the water. In the distance he saw a peak with a smoke ring rising above the water. So stomach cramps and all, link paddled towards the peak as quickly as he could manage.

Part 6 - Over the hill and trough the cave

After disembarking from his always trusty limb, link starting climbing his way up fire mountain and towards the goron village. Soon nightfall was right on his heels and it was becoming difficult to see. Deciding it was best to stop for the night, link found a nice cozy spot between some boulders and fell quickly to sleep.

Link had many unpleasant dreams while he lay asleep. One dream involved the witches he had met earlier. They were both cooking for him and forcing him to eat everything they made. The longer he dreamed the worse they got however. He dreamed that he failed in stopping the storm master and all of hyrule was ruled by him. Storm master had enslaved everyone, even the gorons. He was forcing them to carry boulder after boulder to build himself a new palace. Everyone obeyed out of fear of the weather being turned against them. All of their crops ruined, and their homes flooded over and over again. The last dream he had was very strange. He dreamt that he was a boulder and was about to eaten by a huge goron.

He opened his eyes and found that the sun was shining very brightly for once. He also soon found that the last dream was not far off! The rock that he lay asleep on was being picked up by a goron! Link stood up frantically and waved his arms in terror! The goron, realizing what he was about to do, dropped the rock in complete shock and almost crushed link! He then began crying and apologizing greatly to link.

"I'm so sorry little guy! It's just I'm so hungry! I've had so little to eat lately." He said with his head in his huge hands.

"A guy wearing a black robe came to the mountain and put a limit on the amount of rock we use. We would of never agreed had he not threatened to just take them all away from us. Of course we didn't believe he could! Then he showed us his great power by creating a wind storm that completely stripped all the rocks from a section of the mountain!." The goron said with a few sobs in between his words.

"He left a servant of his to make sure that we did not use anymore rock that we were allowed. None of us know what to do other than obey what he told us." He said with a hint of anger showing on his soaked face. Link looked at the goron straight and hard and pulled his sword out.

"What you are going to save us? You are so brave, I wish I had your attitude. Come and I will show you were to find the servant." said the goron as he stood and motioned for link to follow.

Link and the goron crouched behind a huge boulder and just up ahead lay the entrance to the goron village. "That is the only way into the village. You will surely be spotted right away if you just walk in." The goron said. Link stood for a moment looking over everything and thinking of options. He noticed the goron had a pack on his back for carrying rock, this would make a perfect hiding spot! So he climbed up the gorons back and into the pack.

They made it into the village without being found out and soon they were at the entrance to what was once the goron leaders quarters. They now belonged to the servant of the storm master. When the goron walked into the room the servant was sitting behind a small desk that he had brought with him when he came to the village. The servant was looking over the goron with a skeptical eye when suddenly link jumped out of the pack!

Link rushed the servant and was about to make his first strike when the servant stumbled backwards and fell to the floor. He scurried backwards against the stone wall with his hands covering his face.

"Please don't hurt me! I didn't want to do it!" The servant said with a few tears rolling down his face. Link slowly put his sword back in it's sheath and stared at the man waiting for the rest of the story.

It turned out that the servant was no more than a villager from the area surrounding hyrule castle. He knew how to use swords and shields but not near enough to do any real harm to a link, or a goron for that matter. The storm master had coaxed the man into being his servant by threatening him and his family. Now Link, the goron leader, and the servant were making plans on how to defeat the storm master. The servant warned him of many things that link had not even thought of.

"If you actually get close enough to do him any harm he will use the villagers as shields. He knows very well you will not hurt any of them. On top of that he already has many guards under his spell." The servant said. The goron seemed to be thinking very hard when he said "Does the storm master know that you are no longer under his control?",

"I do not believe he knows so. Surely he would of already came to the mountain to destroy us all if he did."

"Then there must be some way you can get him away from the villagers long enough for link to get them to safety?

"Yes this is true. But there will be many guards and link will not be fast enough to take them all out before the storm master is alerted."

"Then the only other option is for me to come to his aid. The two of us are surely enough to take the guards out?"

"It will be risky getting in unnoticed, but I believe it can be done." The servant said finally. After they had finalized there plans the chief goron escorted link to the cave where the bow was held. He showed him where all the traps were placed and led him safely inside. The bow itself did not look magical, but it had a sense of power when link held it. After all buisness was taken care of the three of them decided it best to wait until cover of darkness for their attack. So link practiced with the bow while the others went over the plans more thoroughly. They had decided more of the gorons would wait outside the castle to get the villagers to safety when link delivered them. This would save lots of time as well as more protection. This is how the rest of the evening went. You could hear debates and the strike of an arrow all trough the village until night finally fell on hyrule.

Part 7 - Night rescue

One of the troubles of planning their attack came from the flood waters that covered most of hyrule. However the waters had been receding over the past hours and now they were all but dried up. Everyone thought it was unusual for them to do this so quickly but knew the storm master probably was the cause. Surely if he could flood the lands so quickly, he could dry them just the same.

It was a sight to see all the gorons moving out of the mountains! Some of them walked, while some of them simply rolled down to the bottom. Before long all were at the foot of the mountain and the chief gave his final instructions to his fellow gorons.

"When you see the villagers come out of the castle lead them to the safety of the mountains. Be quick and carry who you must! Leave no one behind!" The chief said loudly so all could hear. With that Link, the servant, and the chief took their lead on the rest and headed for the castle.

The darkness that surrounded them was suddenly gone when they arrived at the castle. Torches were lit all along the walls and trough every passage. The only thing that saved them was links great abilities at stealth. The chief goron followed his lead all the way to the tower. If he ducked behind a tree the chief would duck behind a shrub, wall, or something of a very large nature. There was no need for the servant to hide however, he simply walked into the place and headed straight for the tower to distract the storm master.

Peeking trough the keyhole of the tower room link saw four guards. One beside the door, one at each window, and another standing amongst the villagers. The storm master was nowhere to be seen however.

"The servant must of already taken care of him." commented the chief.

Link nodded.

"Then let's make this quick my small friend." the chief said while he prepared himself to attack.

The goron rolled into a ball and smashed clean trough the door! He jumped up and quickly took out the guards at the windows! Link was right behind him trough the door. The guard near the door had moved forward to see what was happening when link jumped over him and ran his sword straight down trough his neck. Link hit the floor and rolled under the fourth guards legs and came up behind him. His sword pierced him just below the left shoulder blade, trough the heart, and cleanly out his chest. As he pulled his sword free the guard fell limp to the stone floor.

"I'll get them out link, you go take care of the storm master." The chief said while he rounded up the villagers and pushed them out the door.

Link did not have to wait long. The storm master walked into the room from the shadows with a smirk on his long face. The smirk faded as he looked at link standing over the body of the guard. Electrical current slowly started traveling outward from the masters finger tips as he stood there waiting. Blood dripped from the tip of links sword as he stood ready for battle.

Part 8 - Blood runs

They stood motionless for some time, waiting for the other to make the first move. Wind was whipping in trough one of the castle windows, then there was a crack of thunder and rain began pouring in.

"All the villagers and your goron friends are out there. I had plans for all of them, but it would appear you want to do things the hard way. Why can't you just succumb like the rest of the people in this land?" The storm master said with his robe whipping with the wind.

Link focused his eyes harder on his target and Incresed his grip on his sword.

"They'll all drown if you don't kill me, you know that don't you?"

Link bent his knees slightly to prepare for his lunge.

"Then come on hero of time, make your move." The storm master said drawing his sword back so that he could make a swift clean stroke.

With another crack of thunder and a blinding flash of lightning, Link dove for his target and made a downward cross slash at his chest! Storm master stopped links sword in midair with his own blade.

"Now you're going to have to better than that little one." Storm master said with a smirk on his face. He shoved link backward onto the stone floor with little effort. Link lie there trying to catch his breath and return to his feet.

"I let you live at our first encounter. I can see now that I should of killed you when I had the chance. You've become quite the annoyance." said the storm master.

The wind was blowing harder now and the lightning more frequent. Out of his right eye link noticed that one of the windows was shut. If he could only get the storm master close enough he could open the window and blow him off his feet long enough to get his bow out. So when he finally got to his feet he began leading the storm master slowly in the direction of the window. Not to directly however, because he was unsure if the storm master would catch onto his plan. Finally, link was backed all the way against the window with the storm master right in front of him only a few feet away.

"Obviously you're still unconvinced of my power and the truthfulness of my threat. Surely by now your friends are having difficulty traveling in such a storm? So let's just make sure and give it a little more power." With that being said the storm master raised his hands and electrical current started flowing between them. This was it. Link jerked the window open swiftly and then rolled out of the winds path. The storm master was blown from his feet and slammed hard into the stone wall behind him. Lighting struck again and before the thunder could be heard link had his bow out with a arrow notched.

"You think you can stop me with that toy you silly child?! Well go on then!" The storm master said with anger finally starting to show in his usually calm chilling voice. He began to raise himself to his feet with a bit of blood trickling from his mouth.

"Give me your best hero of time." he said. His voice now calm again with a smile on his face.

With that link released the string and the arrow ripped trough the air towards its target. It pierced the storm masters armor with a brilliant and blinding white flash. It's strike was fatal, piercing the left lung.

"I see now. You're not as ignorant as first thought. You've discovered a way past my armor...n..n..now you've won the battle as well as the war." The storm master said with a rasp in his voice. Blood was now running freely out his mouth and from his chest running into a puddle at his feet. "You truly are this lands hero...and a better warrior than I...now go to your people...hero of time..." With that the storm master took his final strangled breath and fell lifeless to the floor.

Part 9 - The great mountain festival

Link raced down the stairs of the tower and into the courtyard. There he found many of the castles guards, all of which were looking very confused. They were all discussing the few details they could remember and would soon figure it all out, so link hurried on trough the castle gates. He was met with a surprise when he crossed the drawbridge, epona stood picking at patches of grass in the field and raised her head when she saw him coming. Link climbed on her back and began to ride swiftly for the mountains.

The land looked better already, now that the flood waters were receding. Here and there were branches that had been blown out by the storms, and a few damaged fences and houses. Other than that things were beginning to look as they did before the storm master set foot in hyrule.

Link could not help but to smile when he saw the villagers and the gorons all safe at the foot of the mountain. His smile grew even larger when he saw some of his closest friends. Among them were malon, talon, and saria.

Saria immediately ran for link and epona. Rubbing on epona's neck, she looked up at link and said "Wow! How did she surivive the flood link?". Link shrugged his shoulders because he had no idea but he was glad that she was ok. The chief goron walked forward and stood beside link and motioned for him to come down off the horse. Link jumped down from the saddle and stood next to the huge goron.

"In honor of our beloved hero we shall hold a great celebration. All of hyrule is invited to join in on the festivities. So come and pay tribute to our young hero who has once again saved hyrule and all it's people from all evils. Now to the mountain!" The chief goron said with a loud thunderous voice.

That night there were fireworks, food, and music all over the mountain. The festivities could be heard for miles. All of hyrule attended, even the witch sisters who brought huge pots of stew for link. Link was in such a good mood he didn't mind eating it either.

Part 10 - The legend

During about the second or third hour of the party, link became very sleepy and made his way to a comfy spot in the goron village. He was very close to sleep when he heard something move on a shelf above his head. Opening his eyes as much as he could manage, he saw the wise old owl sitting there looking down on him.

"Good work young hero. You've defeated the storm master and saved hyrule from evil once again. You were relentless in your fight against him from the very start and fought very bravely. This adventure of yours will surely go down in legend in the land of hyrule. Now close your eyes hero and sleep, for tommorow may hold new adventures." The owl said softly.

Link closed his eyes again and quickly fell asleep. The owl quietly made his exit and flew away into the darkness of night. The party lasted for a few more hours and then everyone started moving out in groups to return to their homes. Old man oliver returned to his lakeside home, and the witches returned to their huts. It was a wonderful party and everyone slept just as well as link when they finally got home to their beds.

Link returned to his home the next day and cleaned up the mess left by the flood. Everyone in hyrule did the same for quite some time. It wasn't long before all of hyrule was beautiful again and everything was back to being perfectly normal.

So ends another legend of the land hyrule and a small boy named link. Many stories of the adventure are told even today and are different every time. The story always ends the same way however, that hanging among his weapons and most valued possessions you could also find a limb.

The End

Alrighty

Thanks for the tip. I don't use forums much. Actually this is the only one I've ever bothered using at all. Anyway, thanks again.
